Hey Rowsus,

Was just wondering who are now the biggest down hill skiers (Herman, Stenmark etc lol) of say the past 2 years now. With Stevie J performing well against a few top sides this year i assume he will move down in the pecking order.

Thanks in advance
Hey SCF,
that's a project I've got marked Down for the off season. I will get it done and published, I am pretty sure!

Hey Pro,
here's how I see it at the moment.

RAMP has you losing by 91 and SC Gold have you losing by 51(these both exclude Captain considerations, but take emergency loopholes into account), so the situation is not hopeless!
I think you have to approach it from a "what would I do in his situation" scenario. If I was sitting in Blue Dreamers shoes, I would be trying to block your avenues of attack. Pretty much your only avenue is your Captain and it's loophole, so there are a couple of things you can do.
You can choose a V and/or C from the list of POD's above. He can't block those! As you can see from your predicted scores, there are no stand out choices in your POD's. Maybe Martin, but then you risk 2 big unknowns. How will Essendon come out and play, and how will Martin come out and play! Martin's 137 last week had no goals kicked in it. You'd think if he kicked a goal or two, he'd have gotten around 150! Selwood is the obvious choice for one of C loophole picks, but I'm sure blue will be heading down that path, too! In fact, I think he will be Selwood V and Griffen C. He will want to leave his Captain pick to as late in the round as he can (assuming Selwood goes inder 120), to add just that little more pressure to your selections. By leaving it late, and possibly having Selwood up his sleeve, he can potentially force you into a false move. If you play your V on Friday, it gives him confidence to put his V on Selwood, knowing if your V fails he has blocked your most obvious escape route!
I guess it comes down to 2 choices. Do you have one crack at a "different" Captain choice, and if that fails, just hope you can make up the points in the head to head battles? Or do you roll the dice on your Captain twice? I think you're relying a little too much on luck relying on your head to head battles. I think you need to roll the dice on your Captain twice, and hope you get one that scores well that he hasn't blocked!
Just as a side note, both RAMP and SC Gold have Blicavs out scoring Sandilands this week, if he plays! Having said that, given Sandi has more potential for a monster than the Blics, I think it goes without saying, you need to play him if he's picked. Obviously something wrong with both of them, if they think Blics will beat Sandi! :p
Good luck! :)

Yeah, look at the bottom, you've only got 10 players in your total, and he has 11! :)
And who do you think I should trade out/in

I was thinking K Jack or JJK out, don't have much cash (and just maybe don't have any trades.........

Hadn't considered that one, and wouldn't be brave enough to do it as the little master still could have another big one to come.

If we assume i do have a trade would I be best to trade out K Jack to A Walker (or maybe mundy) to stop what seems to be Prochards best POD or should I look to create another POD (like Mayne) for myself almost no cash so it would have to be virtually a straight sideways trade.

Purely from a trying to win the Grand Final point of view, the best tactic is to shut down his POD's. You know you have him at a disadvantage, and the less avenues he has to attack your advantage, the better for you.
Depending on your Cash situation, I'd be turning Roughie/Pav/Cloke into Buddy! We know Buddy has the potential to go very large, and even though he has a tough game, you nullify his potential to hurt you.
If you can afford to use any of the 3 to Buddy, my order would be: Roughie, Pav, Cloke. Given Norths woes in defence, I just have a sneaky suspicion Cloke might go ok this week!
Good luck :)

No donuts this week even though Fyfe is not playing and I have one last trade left.
Looks like I should be trading Fyfe out for another premo because I do not want to rely on Mitchell as my M8.
Who should I go for?

Griffen? Danger? Jobe?

It comes Down to how much Cash you have, and are you involved in any GF's this week?
If you are, give me the team name of your main GF opponent, and let me know how Cash you have, and I'll look. :)

Looks like I'm gone for the finals. Now I potentially have 3 donuts or so. The so called 9.5 premium mid is cut down 6 or 7

I know there is nothing that can be done about it, but it beyond sucks that someone's season can be turned upside down in a GF, due to an AFL Coach's whim!
Totally unfair, that you don't even get to battle for the Cup, you just have to meekly give it up!
Good season, Pro! You deserved better!

Hey Rowsus, i know it's probably a painful exercise for you but how many points have you lost this year from missed lockouts/loopholes etc and how do you plan to fix this next year :p

I think my final count is 852 points lost. This isn't maybe's or potentially's, these are locked in lost points, because I missed lockouts mainly due to the 8-10 hour time difference. It doesn't, of course, include bad Captain, or benching decisions, which we all have plenty of!
Those 852 points would boost my Ranking to a more respectable, but far from boastful, 6,300, instead of the disappointing 20,000 it currently sits at!
I'm not sure I have any plans to fix it for next season. While I am a chance at the $50k I will get up at 4am or whatever time, and check my team. Which means by about round 3 or 4 I should be good to "sleep in" again! :p

This is really hard.

I have just thought of Cloke out, Cox Fwd and Sandi in now you have me thinking Cloke could be a big win for me:confused:

LOL, I'm not sure how many GF's you have to negotiate, but now that Pro has been Ross Lyon'ed, you can relax a little more about the one you have here!

I am sorry too Pro, Given this I am wondering if it is possible to gain enough points to squeak into the top 1000 given the carnage must be felt my many teams above me, hence the thought of the one week hail mary Sandi trade.

Argh 852 points! And then that probably doesn't take into consideration trading PODs in to try and make up points which rarely works in my experience lol.

The great thing is there's always next year and a second group of MBR's to make it that much more interesting. Although with the best 18 rule, there's possibly less strategic gain...that we know of yet :p

This was the toughest match up I have , maybe I should look at my match in Courtesans league now before deciding on my last trade as this was my next hardest match.
