Delighted to have Papley next year and not overpay for Daniher. Sad to lose Zak Jones, I like him. Callum Mills into the mid next year :p
Who plays his spot off of HB? I read that they really like his speed, ball use and decision making coming from there. That Dawson guy was playing HB later half of last year wasn't he?

Just had a look at the picks in the draft, of the 95 picks, Demons have picks 3 & 8. That's it. Good effort really.

Reading through that, a few picks did change selections a few times. I mentioned one being on traded about 5 times yesterday, turns out I was wrong, it seems GWS traded their other 2020 4th round selection to the Crows instead.
I thought clubs had to take three picks into the draft? This may be old rules though.

Well done to the Saints and Dogs, traded beautifully. Happy to get Eddie and Pittonet, but quietly shattered at missing Paps and Martin, hopefully we can sneek Martin in the national or pre season draft. Now to research who we can get for pick 9. ?
Some swapsies with the picks but Crows getting a future second rounder, nominally pick 19-36. I’ll take that a win given his age and the fact he’s played 30 games. Pretty disappointing he wanted to bail out though.

With Naughton coming into his own this season and Bruce coming over it means much less reliance and pressure on Schache and gives the Dogs a number a tall forward options, an area your club has been lacking in for some time. With a 1st rate midfield I reckon your mob will push well into finals next year.
There's always a lot of emotion around one's club and how they will perform in the following year. I have very high hopes for top 6 in 2020. I was disappointed with our performance against GWS in the first week of finals. We just got bullied for whole game. We held on until until just after half time. I think it will hold us in good stead having our players taste the experience of finals. It kind of had the 2015 feel about it vs crows in the knockout final given our finals inexperience with the majority of the list. But 2015 was heartbreak given it was at the MCG. And 2016 didn't go too bad for us.

I can't see our forward line looking like Bruce, Schache and Naughton. I pray that Bevo allows Naughton to play as our centre half back. And now we have a big bodied defender in Keath to take the power forwards of the competition.

Another year of development across the board and key big men. Tim English getting bigger. Our midfield getting maturer. Top 4 isn't out of the realms of possibility but we cannot afford to lose to Blues, Saints, Suns and Freo like we did.

Had to pretty much stop reading half way through as my initial reackon was going to be "game plan" and "coaching moves" as to why they improved in the latter half of the year ... nothing to do with the "cattle" at their disposal IMO ...

But in saying that please don't reference my supported team or head coach ... in my mind they no longer exist !!
