I'm really lost with Freo. I'm so lost I don't even know if I should be angry. I know they aren't in the "window" but are they building, re building, starting from scratch? I hope Longmuir works out but it doesn't feel special. Fyfe admitted in his brownlow speech that he protects himself more than he used to so he can play more games. So he's not the highlight reel he used to be. Our young players seem like solid citizens. We should change our jumper to beige!!!
I almost miss Harley Bennell.

Hawthorn Football Club has announced the first changes to its list with Kaiden Brand, Teia Miles, David Mirra and Darren Minchington informed they will not be offered contracts for the 2020 season.

GM-Football Graham Wright thanked the players for their contribution to the club and wished them all the best in their next endeavours.

“On behalf of the club, I would like to extend our thanks to Kaiden, Teia, David and Darren for their contribution to Hawthorn,” said Wright.

“Each of these young men has demonstrated great commitment to the club and we wish them all the best in their next chapter.”

Defender Tim Mohr has also announced his retirement, finishing his career on 48 AFL games.

Mohr was one of GWS’ foundation players when the club joined the national competition in 2012.

He was delisted after seven seasons, before being picked up in last year’s Rookie Draft with hopes of continuing his career with the Hawks.

Unfortunately, Mohr’s season ended before it began; the 30-year-old was ruled out of the 2019 campaign after dislocating his knee in a VFL practice match in March.

“It’s obviously a disappointing way for Tim to finish his AFL career,” Wright said.

“However, the way he has carried himself around the club and set an example for his teammates has been commendable.”

“We thank Tim for his contribution over the last 12 months and wish him well in his next endeavour.”

Not overly surprised with any of those delistings. A few decent players among them, sure, but none are really best 22 now and most would struggle to get a game.

Another Blue delisted.

Chris Judd departs Footy Classified as the show prepares for a major revamp

The winds of change are blowing through Footy Classified, with one panel member already out and plans for a major revamp in 2020, which could include more than one episode a week.

The winds of change are blowing through Footy Classified with Brownlow Medallist Chris Judd departing the Channel 9 show.

That’s unlikely to be the only change with a major revamp planned for 2020 including extra shows and new hosts.

After a tumultuous season in the hot seat where he struggled to combine it with his role as Carlton’s football director, Judd decided to walk away after the final show of the season last month.

Judd came under fire after the Blues sacked coach Brendon Bolton in June with Melbourne great Garry Lyon calling him out for continually backing the coach on the show.

He also found himself under the pump with his infamous “don’t want someone with training wheels on” line about the club’s search for a coach which was interpreted as a slight on caretaker David Teague.

Judd joined the show as a permanent co-host in 2018.

The question now is whether Judd will be the only major change from the line-up?

Original host Craig Hutchison’s business commitments continue to expand while Caroline Wilson has also been on the show since its inception in 2007.

Surprising, thought Newnes went ok?
He's been played in multiple positions, hb, wing, now probably not fitting in with team dynamics, had consecutive games record before being dropped mid season by Richo. I'd happily take him as a delisted free agent. The link being Playfair moving from Saints to Blues.
