Past his prime but get 1-2 years out of him and develop English wouldn't be too bad of a move. Who knows English might put up a good showing playing more fwd and keep him there whilst targeting a ruck 1 in next years trades.

Totally forgot Essendon also has to get a deal done on Caldwell. Wouldn't be to bad of a trade period losing Saad and Daniher but bring Dunkley,Caldwell and maybe Peter Wright.

Stephenson is being dealt very harshly by the media but I didn't mind his peformance in a very defensive Collingwood effort this year as their offense struggled had 14.10 from 14. Collingwoods goalkickers read 25 Mihocek, 14 Stephenson, De Goey 14, Hoskin-Elliott and Elliot 10. Kicked 38 in his first year from 26 games and 24 in his second from 14.

I wouldn't mind having him at my club.

Lot of rumours of Tom Phillips to Hawthorn. Would pick 45 be enough to get this over the line? I think it might if the Pies have cap issues. Can't see him being worth the Hawks next highest pick (24), maybe a future 3rd round pick? Guess we'll see.

I have it on very good authority that Phillips does not want to leave Collingwood.
So if a move does eventuate this trade period it won't be by choice, it'll be Collingwood moving him on.

I am really happy for him. He is one of those no frills players that puts in to fill whatever role the team needs. Essendon used him as a sole KPF and ruck at times (due to injury) - positions he was never meant occupy. He always gave it his all. Delisted by Adelaide and a couple of times by Essendon yet he keeps bouncing back - every team needs a player like him. I am sure he will get opportunities at the Saints.

That's a terrible deal for North. Basically it is giving up Goldy for nothing (swapping 1st rounders from one year to the next). Especially, as next seasons draft is stronger than this years.

Edit: Purely speculative.

I can't find the details of this trade anywhere... do you have them?
If it's done, just shows that we should have moved on Goldy a few years ago when he was worth something as we chased a Josh Kelly, instead of using all our cap space on a "superstar" like Jared Polec.

No trade has been completed involving Goldy. The response was to the previous message (not quoted) which was a hypothetical trade involving Goldy and has since been deleted by the member.
