WCE are one club that should certainly show some interest in my opinion.
Not sure myself. We need core players we can build around either via trade or drafting them. Trading them in costs too much and drafting them is a slow development process so it is tricky either way but a player with potential to be a number 20-22 list player should be secondary on our priority list for mine. Don't think we need any more Jermaine Jones, Petruccelle, Brockman etc types. Just my 2 cents worth.

Good stuff, was a relatively high pick at pick 20 in his draft, but has only played 81 games in 8 seasons, with 4 this year.
Can anyone tell me why he slipped down the pecking order at GWS this year? Looks like he played nearly every game in 21-2023.
Calf and hamstring injuries from the injury thread.

BRISBANE premiership player Joe Daniher has called time on his storied career after 204 AFL games across two clubs.
Daniher's decision has ended the ongoing speculation around his future, after reports of his potential retirement first emerged on the eve of last week's Grand Final.

Wow, official now 😮

Good for him. He was always good to watch.

I am glad he got to have a career as long as he did because for a long time he just could not shake injuries. Brisbane got him fit and eventually that got him a flag. A win for perseverance.

However for me, I cannot say that he was always good to watch. If there was an award for the biggest whinger on the ground he would have been the favourite to win it.

Edit: Cumming to Crows confirmed too.

Wasn't expecting pick 8 as compo for Battle though. Hawks may be paying a bit more than I thought for him (or the AFL are feeling generous).
I thought the point of unrestricted free agents was they could move freely and therefore help even up the comp? Pick 8 seems overs to me. Then again, all power to the Saints to use it well.

I don't think band 1 compo should exist for anyone. You had the player for 8 years. If you can't convince them to stay at that point then that's your fault. All sorts of band 1 going around for midling players too, Mackay last year, Battle and Perryman this year. First round of the draft is rooted enough as it is, it really doesn't need more messing it around.
