Anyone want to have a punt on Brayden Sier's likely average?
His game time in game 2 was up 20mins so expect that maintained. It was against the Swans who are fairly weak in the mids right now.

Treloar injury would have helped him after halt time, although, he scored well 1H of the game.

I would likely budget on 80 with a history that shows he can score +100 although not consistently. If he receives normal TOG he should be 60-110 range for most games.

Pendles is likely back in two weeks so you need to bear that in mind, price will rise by $70k over those two weeks I expect which gives some compensation. Adelaide, Melb, North run is positive.

Could be more interim measure than a permanent M8.

Decided to leave Simpkin to next week and grab Shuey given low BE.

Bennell, Buda and Mcinereny out

Schoenberg, Shuey in + one of Sholl/Ruscoe. Not a buyer that Rivers being back means we can leave bringing rookie defenders in, expect Rivers in for one game for players managed.

Any more views on Sholl vs Roscoe, trading in blind without knowing teams.

Sholls - lots of changes at Adelaide, played wing, DE 80%, TOG solid, faded after Q2, 10 possessions 50% CP.

Roscoe - kicked 1.3 and 5 score involvements, 7 poss (3CP), DE 57%, good run of Ade, Melb, NM for a fwd role, TOG 70% ok. Pies have some injuries.

I'm inclined to strike while the iron is hot:

Gawn to Naitanui
Noble to Watson
Bennell to Cripps

Leaves 8 trades, one MID and one DEF upgrade to do and $204k ITB

Team would be:

Lloyd, Ridley, Doch, Houston, Stewart, McKay (Watson, Williams)
Neale, Oliver, Titch, Cripps, Merrett, Viney, Whitfield, Coniglio (Pickett, Simpson, Mahoney)
Grundy, Naitanui (Draper)
B Smith, D Smith, Simpkin, Dusty, Petracca, Georgiades (Cameron, Comben)

Gives me 17 prem and 5 rookies for this week.

Thoughts?
@Herbie66 and others, I ignored, my first thought and went Big M to Big O πŸ˜‡, saw so many getting on the train and got FOMO, lol, what the hell we can go down in flames together πŸ˜‰.

Viney out changes things somewhat, Bennell to Cripps still likely, might go the hole hog and do Viney to Fyfe πŸ˜‰.

I know the risks with Fyfe, but I have never really been burnt by him before and he is the type of player who can match the big guns. Have Titch, Macrae too expensive, have Oliver and Neale, Kelly is probably the one I'm missing, but he has the bye.

Having worked my way up to 481 overall, maybe Fyfe will be worth the risk, if it goes wrong, it goes wrong, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Too much risk?

Smashing it, we should all becoming to you for advice.

Until you see Fyfe play mids, BE 158, think you can wait, although appreciate you have trade to do - maybe. CORRECTION - heat map show more mid time although, I thought I saw him sitting forward in that last game in 2H. maybe check CBA's.

Who are the universe of players you are looking at that have had a bye already? Cripps, anyone else.

Thanks heaps. Great response! Very helpful. Definitely some food for thought.

What do we all reckon Yeo averages from here? Hold or trade? Feels sideways but I can potentially go Viney and Yeo to Titch and Adams this week.

Would think about holding Viney and sideways Yeo, if feeling the need. Yeo has been disappointing, seems like Kelly has impacted him the most, had his best games when Shuey was out of the side. Stick to post bye players unless offering tremendous value (which Simpkin may be, will watch one more week).

Yeo to Mitchell, Cripps or Shuey all look ok. Given Yeo has had bye, would only switch if player you are going to offers value. Stewart, Neale, Duncan and Shuey all in my side for Ceglar, Hurn, Smith lately who have been patchy.

Any Bomber fans think Hibberd gets back in or is there no spot for him now with Shiel back?

Cheers GFB,

I hear what you are saying, but Fyfe is the type of player that can go 130+ playing forward much like Danger.

It's really only Shuey, Gaff and TKelly that have had their bye for now that would be of interest, if I was to go one of them it would probably be Kelly or Gaff. Shuey is consistent, but doesn't seem to have the celing of the other two πŸ™‚

There were 3 or 4 players given reduced minutes in the Bombers reserves scratch match on the weekend due to the short turn around to Wednesday's match.

Hibbard was not one of them, so on that basis I'd say he is unlikely to play. Of course it's like reading tea leaves here, Bombers team selection is not always logical to me.

OK Help me out guys if you please:

A. Keep Gawn and reassess next week (Draper as cover; Fwd line complete with Whitfield back next week; Defence cover -hopefully) Close, could make more cash with a spike, but who knows? Starc, Pickett, Simpson, George to trade down/up mids next week, will bring in Wicks as downgrade*. Possibly Big O, if Gawn doesn't return or looks iffy.

B. Trade Gawn: Option 1 (Fwd line complete; Defence cover - hopefully; Cash for mid upgrades) Ruscoe could be Schoenberg. As mentioned above*

Screen Shot 2020-08-09 at 10.25.49 AM.png

B. Trade Gawn Option 2 (Fwd line complete; Sier scoring potential and cash gen against Adel, Melb, Nth; address Defence rookies next week when landscape is clearer.)

Screen Shot 2020-08-09 at 10.27.09 AM.png

All 3 Options will have 22 for best 18 this week*

Then there's OPTION X... ROOM 101... The Blue pill etc.

Leaning toward A (but have yet to get the calculator out and look at projected prices. Also, we're back to two trades next week, yeah?).

I can post team if necessary.

Thanks for any feedback.

That's some handy info! Cheers. He wasn't an emergency last round either so doesn't seem likely. That's enough to allow me to decide on my trades finally. Woo hoo! Thanks Philzsay

Think we have one more week of three trades. It was for the entire set of 4 games into R12.

Is Ridley playing this round?
Could his injury keep him out for a couple of games?
I have one trade left and I could use it to replace Ridley with Jy Simpkin (via moving DPPs).
I have to make a decision before Nth's game today, hmmm.
