Is Rockliff -> Sloane for 35k worth it?

If i do Duursma -> Logue, Rockliff -> Sloane

I can likely still do ROB -> Grundy in 1 or 2 weeks and have a complete team (Hore/Logue D6 and D7) with 3 trades left.

Or is it better to hold the trade and leave 4 for injuries and have Rockliff over Sloane?

Just worried that 1 Rockliff will have 2 weeks in the SANFL to improve and then may get injured again anyway whilst Sloane is very under priced.

Did anyone see Robbie Gray play? What position was he playing? Is he a better choice than Heeney at f6?

Currently my team is:
Lloyd Laird Andrews Sicily Ellis Stewart (Burgess, Naish)
Cripps Macrae Rockliff Oliver Neale Coniglio Fyfe Duursma (Clarke Stocker Baker)
Grundy Gawn (Bines)
Dunkley Kelly Dangerfield Daniel Boak Westhoff (Settlefield Gardner)

I'm seriously considering keeping Westhoff, trading in Logue for Duursma, Burgess to Heeney/Gray

Doesn't leave me much money but I can move Kelly/Danger/Dunkley to the midfield to play Heeney/Gray/Westhoff at f6 and have Logue cover the defenders.
Only leaves me with 3 trades but good cover, hopefully till finals.

I paid 550 for Matt Crouch at the start of the season, traded him out, but at 484 he seems to be good value still. Am I mad?!

There was a stat somewhere showing he attended either the 2nd or 3rd most Centre bounces of any port player. Think he was 3rd to Lycett and Boak with about 16 which is quite a lot.

He was playing mainly as a mid with stints up forward, attended quite a few centre bounces. As a mid he is still an excellent pick. I have him. But my concern is what happens when Rocky returns.
Port looked good with their 3 best mids in Boak, Gray and Wines playing there. Houston also played a lot of mid minutes and gave them a different look. Rocky coming back arguably diminishes the amount of time Gray and Houston spend in the guts but I hope they don't play Gray as a full-time forward.

Do you think he'd be a better choice than Heeney?

Ideally I would go Duursma to Crouch and complete the team - but having Westhoff as f6 and not having any good back up in the forward line scares me. Having Heeney/Gray means decent cover for midfield and forward line - and Logue can probably cover backline adequately.

3 trades and only 50-80k is pretty scary though.

Thinking trading Answerth over Duursma is the correct move?

Keeping the most quality rookies in my side for as long as possible.

Hore and Logue still D5/D6 - will watch Logue more and decide which one of them stays on as D7, or they might both end up D6/D7.

Duursma and Clarke are D9/D10. One of them might become Hanners.

Need to get some donuts in to start exercising these loopholes! Young and Gardner might work for now ?

Would be fantastic if you can afford to keep Duursma as bench cover over Answerth.

Butters to Sloane basically finishes my team with just 5 trades in the back pocket, next to no money and the below:

Lloyd, Laird, Ryan, Williams, Andrews, Hore (Logue, Gardner)

Fyfe, Macrae, Cripps, Neale, Oliver, Bont, Sloane, Mouch (Bewley, Baker, Stocker)

Gawn, Grundy (Fort)

Danger, TK, Dunkley, Daniel, Cameron, Heeney (Setterfield, Burgess)

Bench feels decent, would love Boak in my final team but just can’t see how it’ll be possible now.

Actually looks like I have to trade Duursma to afford a decent enough forward.

Option 1: Duursma to Naish, Parker to Robbie Gray.

Option 2: Duursma to 102k MID via Answerth, Parker to Caleb Daniel. Rookie becomes a loophole for MCrouch/DClarke and potentially Hannebery.

Which option looks better?

2 Options..

1) Sicily to Logue > Baker > Sloane (which now finishes my MID, RUC and FWD)

2)
Dbl Down - Larkey - Hind/ Burgess > Logue

Before trades, I have 2 spots to fill in DEF. (1x Whitfield and running Logue as D6)

8 Trades left.

Which option would you choose ?

Thanks very much :)

Still hoping Sicily moves back to the backline.

Pretty sure the experiment is over and a massive fail. He is our most creative player and best intercept mark. Putting him forward is stupid.

Many hawthorn supporters have continually asked for him to moved forward for varying reasons. Pretty obvious to see now that it isn't a good move and I am hoping he never gets moved forward ever again.

But he will drop price dramatically so I don't think it is the worst move.

Can anyone tell me how Logue played? Where did his points come from? Intercept marking or just rebounding?

How would you rank these 5? Price is not a big factor although having the extra coin may come in handy when an injury inevitably pops up.

Sloane 511k (GEE, PTA, GCS, ESS, CAR, STK, WCE, COL, WBD)

Zorko 516k (MEL, GWS, PTA, NTH, HAW, WBD, GCS, GEE, RIC)

Mouch 484k (GEE, PTA, GCS, ESS, CAR, STK, WCE, COL, WBD)

JPK 522k (GCS, ESS, CAR, FRE, GEE, GWS, PTA, MEL, STK)

Ross 461k (RIC, NTH, GEE, WBD, MEL. ADE, FRE, CAR, SYD)

Or anyone else below $522k?
It’s between Zorko and Sloane for me, Zorko looks like a pretty good pod

But I would recommend Sloane, he's averaged 114 if you take out the Melbourne game where he did a hamstring (and in that game he scored 35 in a quarter). He came back the next week and scored 103 whilst clearly not 100% right. I heard that he wasn't kicking on his dominant foot because that was the leg with the hamstring injury. He represents a hell of a lot of value.

My team before trades;
Lloyd, Hurn, Ryan, Laird, Williams, Hore (Duursma, Answerth)
Kelly, Cripps, Neale, Macrae, Oliver, Gaff, Taranto, Baker (Bewley, Clarke, Scott)
Gawn, Grundy (Bines)
Marshall, Heeney, Dunkley, Daniel, Danger, Kelly (Gardner, Young)

And 6 trades left, 140k or so in the bank.

I'm currently ranked 1,369 and think I'm a great chance of finishing top 1k, but I'm a bit concerned about my trade situation.

I'm considering taking a risk, and trading in Robbie Gray at M8 - I can see my forward bench becoming an issue down the track, and this would give me the swing set to avoid that issue.

Alternatively, Sloane comes in.

Is taking the risk on Gray foolish, or does the idea have merit?

The other option is trading Baker and Hore to Logue and Stewart - moving Duursma to M8 for the swing with Answerth. This gives me 128k and 4 trades left, but in a worse position next week as the midfield upgrade would need to be delayed.

Any feedback would be great!
Faced something like this last week, with little forward cover, traded Stack, moved Danger to mids bought Marshall. Gray is risk I brought in Sidebottom last week as a risk. Is coaches call, you. Going nicely.

Changed my decisions for trades this week. Just the one I will do.

Butters > Logue.

Hoping that Whitfield comes back early, leaks some cash before I trade ROB out in round 17, and I can use my wealth to make an upgrade to Whitfield and trade out either whoever has made more cash out of Setterfield and Clarke for my last forward upgrade in round 18.

If buddy wasn’t injured I would say Heeney. Heeney has the better draw but with buddy out I can see Heeney playing forward.
