AFLNT CEO was speaking yesterday on this, he was asked how much planning AFLNT has and will put into the prospect of AFL games being played in the NT.

His answer was zero, zilch, none, nup, 0....read into that what you will
I guess they have to make up all kind of stories to keep things interesting.

Hopefully we get a restart in June. Seems like provisionally Australia is succeeding in “flatting the curve”. Hopefully another 2 months is all we need to get to 0 new cases for consecutive days. The main concern would be that Aus is heading into flu season so really the risk would be there until Spring (ie September/October).

I’m sure the AFL is hoping for games with crowds but I think the safest option is games with no crowds all year (or at least not until Sept/Oct)

This long delay / shorter games / season will help a lot of the injured players. Bit annoyed I didn't take the punt on a few more in my starting team now, at least I started Titch, who I expect will be possibly the biggest beneficiary. That's one trade saved at least.

Half my forward line went awful in R1, Buddy definitely is worth looking at now. Depends how many trades we get.

Given the shorter season and cash generation prospects, is the strategy (with out going overboard) to jump on as many round 1 bolters with quick cash generation in mind.

Viney, Howe, Jacobs, Naismith, Sturt ride out there cash generation for a couple of weeks and wait for others to drop eventually?

I wish they hurry up and make a decision to give us extra trades, I’m can’t wait to get rid of the deadwood in my team as soon as possible. Hoping for at least 5 trades for Round 2, Probably need 10 get rid of all the deadwood.

just logged in to see who the heck is in my team, honestly couldn't remember after the 2 or so months o_Oo_Oo_O

a few extra trades for round 2 would sure be mighty helpful! L Ryan and Brayshaw (Freo), Mcasey, starcevich, Cavarra at least probably need to be looked at. Question is, will better options present?

pretty stoked to see i had Naismith and Jacobs tho. might pay to be 'reckless' this year and throw the rulebook out the window and consider those early bolters like you suggested, and just take the cash generation anyway possible.

we got a pre-season full of research, hypothesizing and debating for round 1, we now get to do it all again with another pre-season for round 2 lol.

I'm like you... haven't logged in for 2 months but I do remember Round 1 was a disaster and in all likelihood half my rookies will lose their spots to returning starting 22 players as well... the only thing that might save them is if the bench gets extended to 6

I must say, I had to jump into my team yesterday to see whether I had Jack Steven in my Fwd line. Happy to see he wasn’t (although hoping he will be ok ??)

Also going to look at the Round 1 review thread to see what my planned trades are going to be ?
