Fyfe -> Bont
Houston -> Sicily

Or

Pickett -> Serong
D Cameron -> S Hill

Freo play the Crows so these two could break out!?
Thinking Serong and Hill myself but if I take Hill then I'm open to injury risk at his age. Would only require him to reach his past averages to be a reasonable trade with hopefully a price increase of 100 - 150k. Serong is expense though at 175k.

Anyone have views on Mahony, how did he go in his first game? Is he worth it to bring in or should I look for another rookie?

Not sure where the hype is coming from by staying away from Ridley. I’m a little confused why he is so highly touted (currently at 410k now). Off limited data is he playing that well to justify him as a keeper (or top 6 defender) - someone mentioned him as a calmer version of Sicily. If you had him from 2 rounds ago I’d say probably worth it

I personally think that there are myriad options - Houli/Laird/Sicily/Haynes/Daniel/Crisp/Hurn that aren’t that much more expensive than Ridley but almost a better guarantee (at least in my opiniin) to be a top 6 defender by the end of the year (I have Lloyd/Doch/Howe)

Each to their own I suppose but I think I’ve just provided reasoning as to why I won’t be picking Ridley this season

As a bombers man, he played well for us, along with Saad. My only concern is the amount of Def we have that can still points. Hurley, Hooker, Redman, Gleeson, Francis, Saad, McKenna etc.

Hurley/Hooker/Francis usually play the lockdown (cause of their height) and throw Ambrose in there too.

I’ll be looking at him closely next year, but I don’t know if he’ll be top 6 Def this year

Price check on aisle 2 please ?

Houli $ 553,200
Daniel $ 540,500
Hurn $ 528,600
Sicily $ 523,400
Haynes $ 514,300
Crisp $ 508,600
Laird $ 487,800

Ridley $ 410,100

I guess it comes down to how you define not much more expensive

There is something u have picked up on, Stephen Hill and Break do go together. For that reason, plus Bennell, plus Fyfe, plus 3 sideways trades it will be a no from me.

What makes me less easy on Ridley is the break out Saad has had. Why are essendon half backers doing so well. Is it because of the teams they played. Yes, pre season can be thrown in, however, that is uncontested football.

Looking at McAsey and Ryder to Ridley and Hayden.

Only have 16k cash now, after trades 81k in the get Whitfield next week fund.

Will be tight looking at BE's and players in my side, should I just get Whitfield now and not worry that he'll be even cheaper next week.
Thinking Whitfield is more important moving forward than Ridley.
Either pick him up this week even though he hasn't bottomed out yet, double down this week or hold off any trades this week.
Potentially missing Ridley less consequential than missing Whitfield.

I would not do Dusty to Boak or Gaff. Dusty is a hold for mine.
The head agrees, the heart says go ....... the internal conflict.

It's the weeks of mediocrity interspersed with occasional flashes of brilliance that makes it so frustrating.

We may need some mid-pricers to complete our teams this year, so hoping, at least, Ridley would be a reasonably good scorer. I like his BE of 9.
The only defender premos I have are Sicily and Docherty, too many Rookies in Defence, so I'm focusing on fixing that up and saving money to get Whitfield in later.

My dilemma come down to trading out Howe/BZT/CTaylor;
Ins 1 - Lloyd Green (gets Rivers or Bennell off field & BZT goes)
or 2 - Ridley Whitfield (Gets CTaylor off field and gone)

Currently top 1000 so points rule, and so i'm leaning toward 2, even if it is a week early of Whitfield (I think he'll revert to HB for Williams and ton up.) Anyone think option 1 is better and get Whitfield next week?

I would wait on Whitfield with his BE of 186.

So option 1 is my preference, although I would consider going for Ridley over Lloyd which will give you an extra 180k in the bank.

Have to replace Howe & Stewart and already have Simpkin and Ridley.
It is actually more difficult as I do not want to pay $500k+ for a defender.

The mindset is hard when trading this season. Looking for the consistent scorers up over 90 are few and far between so I just think we all need to lower expectations. Neale looks a must have, I'll burn the team this week to get him in I think.

Then as soon as you get him they’ll announce Bris v GWS the next round :ROFLMAO:

Hahaha busted on Aisle 2. I just don’t think there is value to trading him in @ 410k now. Not when there are premiums only 100k (odd) away

What happens when and if he scores 2x 60’s b2b.. you’ll doubt him and be in a rush to trade him out again
