Thinking of trading Daniher to waterman as I’m reluctant to let go of most rookies just yet.

if I do with the change I can trade someone like Brockman to one of those annoying M8 types. Guys like Taranto, B Crouch, parish. are they worth it? It’s either that or have cash sitting for a while until I make enough moves to get someone more elite.
Ps using Jordan would get me Bowes,

thanks. That post actually has pulled me back a bit.

however hehe. Phillips and Jordan to waterman and Ridley can be done?
I like that move, a gain on points and cash gen.
FWIW I got Chapman & Ridley in last week, wasn't a simple 2 trade move though

Don't really think Stronger is much more than a very short term money grab.

He has never averaged more than 78 a season and not really had a purple patch of say 5 100's in a six week period.

While he will attend a few Centre Bounces, and a couple more than if Shiel and Caldwell weren't injured I still think he will need a bag of goals to crack the ton each week.

Good luck to ya Pete, I hope it does go well as it means the Bombers will also go very well too!

Planning something similar. I reckon not having Daniher is a positive negative POD (if that makes sense). One option for me is Daniher and Daniel > Jones and Steele. Only problem is I’d have to do both trades before the first game of the round.

Haven't traded, yet. Waterman and Parks are 2 bubble boys on my radar for this week, Jones and Treacy next week.

I don't feel like I'm burning trades if I'm taking out rookies (who have maxed out or are non playing for those that look like they'll generate a bit of cash) I'm treating these trades as part of the upgrade cycle and should end up with around 400k after next week (and a kickstart for cash gen)
I'm going to be very careful about who to bring in before the byes because that's where I see myself making up a bit of ground

Thats where I'm torn. Love the idea of having ridley already, but hate having daniher where I'm obliged to field him.

I'd also hold off on the "Mate" move (M8). I reckon the perfect guy to target for that is Brayshaw who's shown the premo ceiling we're looking for but had a rough time of things the past few weeks. Should be able to pick him up dirt cheap once that 40 has fully cycled through his pricing over the next fortnight.

His susceptibility to the tag is a concern so we'll need to monitor that over the next two weeks. But if we can grab him around the $450K mark I personally prefer that option than the others guys you mentioned in that kind of price bracket.

If I knew Kosi was playing, I would have no hesitation in going Daniel to Dunkley (via Sharp) but with the likelihood of eating a donut (Kosi, Sharp, Highmore D6-8), I'd rather play it safe and trade Daniel to a defender.

I feel like I can wait a week on Dunkley as he should only go up 10k or so with a 130. The issue will be finding the cash to make that happen next week without culling Campbell (who I am bullish on holding) let alone Gulden/Warner or one of my midpricers in Atkins who I am still hoping might be an F6.

Yep avoiding a potential D6 donut takes priority for sure. There are plenty of great value premo DEFs to choose from too. The only issue is which one to select? It's an embarrassment of riches down there right now. o_O

It’s funny how quick we flip our minds. 5 mins later I’m set on just one trade. Daniher to waterman. Maybe wait for Oliver to get cheaper and not pay full price for Steele. Looking to next week too need room for jones. So getting Ridley in makes that harder for me. then next week Oliver Jones in.

I think Steele has demonstrated that he won’t get much cheaper so I’m willing to take him at the current price. I see Macrae Oliver and Steele as the holy trinity of MIDs this year

Think I'm holding fire this week. Means I'm passing on Waterman but that'd give me Rowe, Bergman and Waterman and I don't want any of them on field.

Daniher is starting to be a bit of a worry but I'm giving him this week - if he's going to go bananas against anyone surely it's Essendon. If he can't do that I think it'll be time to cut my losses. That plus Daniel, who I'm going to hold for a week (Chapman is cover) should be able to get me Oliver at what is likely to be his lowest point next week. If Daniher does spike I can find someone else to use to the same or similar effect... hopefully!

BE is irrelevent as both are keepers. Which one do you expect to score more for the rest of the season. if close, then the cheapest or better bye.
Their BE is relevant if you plan on bringing them both in pre-byes.
