Strategy Round 5: Trades

I am trying to hold fire with trades this week unless eating donuts.
Made the mistake last season dumping non playing rookies for other rookies on the bubble only to see them not play the week after.
Eg. Waterman .
Then my non playing rookies get called up again the following week eg. Highmore
It is difficult i know but there are not really any must have rookies this week.

Ughh I can already see myself getting sucked into Brayshaw at 450K.
I can also see myself pulling my hair out over him though, as I don’t think he’s top 8 midfield quality yet.

But even he would need to show us that he's getting back towards the fit and firing 2020 Neale before I'd jump on. Anyway both he and Brayshaw are on the watch list as a potential "value" upgrade in the MID in around 2-3 weeks.
Otherwise if neither bloke looks like a goer in the short term I'll just save up the coin to finally get on Macrae who is the main "must have" midfielder I'm missing right now already owing Steele and Oliver. Went the Bont route instead in SC who has been ok and at least out pointed Zerrett who many others selected at the same starting price bracket.

Feel Daniel justifies a tradeout, but can't find any tradeout plans over this week and next which allow me to bring in Oliver if I move on Daniel this week to a target I like.
Scenarios which solve both problems get really contrived in terms of forcing premature moves on cash generators. Think Daniel stays 😓

Agree, did Kosi already and maybe Brockman to Waterman. Holding Bergman and Highmore as they look to be able to make us money if they play. Kozi could be ok with no Lewis, however, neither met the eye test.
I have 5 prem defence, chapman and butts, with latter to likely become Jones. Affords a little more luxury to hold Highmore.

Need to get rid of May this week, but don't have any cash in the bank... I also don't have any rookies that are done moo-ing yet. Would love some advice on what people would do in my position. Happy to try something left-field - I am considering May to CJ but not sure if that's going to be a detriment long-term. Also want Waterman, but for who?

Really not sure which way to go this week. 4 trades used already and $48,800

I guess the thing that is holding me back is 2 things:
Daniher is probably the only option to get Waterman in and I know that there is 90% chance I'm going to have to do Sharp/Highmore to Jones next week due to having no coverage in defence.
So if i take Waterman, I will be 90% committed to using another trade next week to fix Highmore/Sharp so will then be down to 24 trades, but will have around $200k ITB after Daniher to Waterman and Highmore/Sharp to Jones next week.
Can anyone else see any options or have any futher thoughts. I do think its too early to trade Daniher or any of my other rookies, bar probably Jordon?

Instead of sideways trading Highmore/Sharp next week and actually losing coin on the move, I would be tempted to trade Jordon or Fullarton > Jones via DPP where you at least get some $$$. Sharp can then hide at M10 and be a floating donut.
I'd also look at cutting your losses on Duggan and upgrade him to Ridley this week with the money you make on the Daniher > Waterman trade.
