28 Disposals 10 Marks for a score of 93 is poor. I didn't see where he played but looks like he is gettin in on non effective plays with backwards short kicking. Don't like someone on the outside who doesn't tackle and get CP this year.
Happy to pay $ 441 k for someone if they can average 93+ from this point on.

In addition to what you've mentioned, I keep thinking of Gaz and the long term issues he had with his shoulder.
I've also got Rowell, and while he isn't named there is no urgency for me to trade him as his price won't change while he is out. I'll look to move him on before he plays another game though.
The other thing is that there is $400K sitting on the bench, money that can be used elsewhere, so I wont be holding him too long.
Good point re price change. I remember Gaz as well. Probably will bring in Ridley for him to shore up the faltering back line.
Thanks for your comment.

Just noticed Ceglar has Grundy and Gawn next two weeks even IF he keeps the R1 at the Hawks. Think he’ll have to go.
Original draw was quite tough as well and bad for upgrading with Gawn into the Bye rounds. McEvoy risk was real (I did post preseason that he ran a real non selection risk if he couldn't hold #1 spot) so don't be surprised if he has a week or two off against the big guns.

Only thing that might save him is Patton / ML injuries. But then his hand is fd as well potentially.

Anyone else looking at Jarryd Lyons? 0.7% ownership, sort of overshadowed by Neale in the Lions midfield but is averaging 113 in his last 20 games. Massive ceiling as we saw in the back end of last season. He is matching or almost matching last years numbers but in 20% less game time. Presents good value at $563,300. I think I will jump on.

3 round average of Lions' midfielders

Neale: 148
Scottish Suitcase: 137
JBerry: 133
Lyons: 118

Zorko to return too. That's a lot of points to continue to share amongst that group? Surely not sustainable? But I am ranked 50k, so I have been wrong before haha

Bloody hard to upgrade when there's precious little to down grade too not like previous years at least there was someone available each week to generate cash. At this rate when there is an upgrade target to bring in we have no cash.

I think the move to price changes after 2 weeks has made a big impact, as it's longer between having to make the call to trade someone in, and the time when they've made enough cash. So you're having to hold for an additional week, or you're having to forgo 50k if you wait to being them in.

It's only small, but it adds up.

Can Hurn get back to his normal scoring? Or should I just bring in Ridley
If you have neither and need to upgrade now, then Ridley is the in-form scorer.
If you can wait, it's worth seeing if Hurn's scoring improves when they get back to WA.

And if you're like me and currently have Hurn, just have a little cry every week and hope things get better when he returns to WA.

Reckon I might have to get Gawn. Outside Neale and Grundy he seems the only reliable scorer. Can do a one up one down. A lot of cash though.
Don’t have Neale or Gawn currently (season killer there) and finding a Captain choice whenever Grundy doesn’t go large is a nightmare. I may roll with bringing in Mitchell instead for $150 k + cheaper and hope he can go somewhere close as a VC loop with Grundy.

Yeah - I am bringing them both in over the next few weeks. Start with Grundy this week.

Wonder if he plays off a 5 day break.

Think I will grab Aarts this round (if named) , hopefully he can perform well enough to make some $$$.

Brown/Budarick - > Whitfield

Following week will aim to get Hurn & Yeo and hope they return to premium scoring when they return home.

Round 8 target will be Bailey Smith..

Happy to hold Rowell until then to assess all trade in options.

That will still leave be with 2 onfield rookies , what I can do with them will be fully dependent on how much cash I can get out of my bench (the likes of Brander , Hamill , KKP Rivers etc) probably will need at least $ 100 k from each of them to do anything worthwhile + upgrade Rowell.

Hopefully their will be actually 4 viable downgrade targets appearing.

That's the plan anyway
