Went with Ceglar to Bailey Smith to compliment Naismith to Sam Simpson, the latter of which appears to have worked out from a cash gen perspective with Selwood also going down with a hammy.

It means I'm bypassing Rankine this week and I'm maybe a week early on bringing in Smith, but I'm hoping the Swans defenders can curtail Rankine a little and limit that first price rise so that he's still a viable downgrade next week (and I need to start racking up points now which Smith should help with).

Still haven't brought Whitfield back in yet but they have a tough game this week and should still be there for a similar price next week. I'm actually starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel here - one thing I do need is for Pittonet (and Cripps) to find a bit of form so that Pittonet can close the gap to Gawn a bit more.

Round 8 is already released for 9 games , are they changing that ?
I wasn’t able to see that a couple of days ago, but that would be a positive sign that the loop should be useful for another round.

One thing worth flagging is that rounds may not be completely “aligned” from an AFL and SC perspective (I suspect you’re all over this from BBL, Herbie). Maybe it depends on when the following round starts and how games are sequenced.

BBL is much easier (I did notice though they still can't do a simple 4 games for 8 teams though , no idea why they have DGR or byes for teams but anyway)

Have read that their could be 2 teams on Byes for each of Round 9 , 10 , 11 & 12 , have also read 6 teams on Byes for Rd 9 , have read also that only the Victorian teams are having byes so all conjecture and speculation at this stage.

You would hope rounds would be :-

Wed , Thurs , Sat , Sun
Mon , Tues , Wed , Thurs , Fri
Sat , Sun , Mon , Tues , Wed
Thurs , Fri , Sat , Sun , Mon

or something similar and the Fantasy games just award points for all games played in that period.

Hopefully they release the Round 9 - 12 fixture Monday/Tuesday and then Virtual Sports , RDT , AFL Fantasy can communicate what they intend to do.

Exactly. I am a bit surprised that we have known for days that it is (IIRC) 33 games in 19 days, but we don’t know what those games are.

Especially when 33 seems like a number that doesn’t have obvious logic behind it (ie it’s not 4 x 9, 3 x 9 or the like). My sense is that they have a specific plan in mind, they may just be dotting and crossing.

I don't think the players association has approved it yet.

I have no idea to be honest , everything before was we have time to stretch the season to November & December even , but now it's like they have gone the opposite way and want to condense things.

I am not sure how they came up with the 33 games , personally I would have just played Round 9 or 10 as a split round giving all teams byes in them.

Time will tell.

Anyone with the slightest idea about McPherson getting a gig Monday? Would love to trade starcevich to him, but with zero cover I really need him to get a gig
