Especially furious at myself for deciding I didn't need Zampa and then bringing him in anyway!

Hopefully he does a wells and makes up for a terrible game 1 with a great game 2

Missed bloody lockout, didn’t realise it was such an early game, so I’ve had to tinker around the edges, but still had Matt Short so that pretty much makes up for it all, what a star!

Looking at the BoM site, the worst of the Sydney weather looks behind us now.

Can you loop Short with Sams given he plays first game?

That’s actually a great call. If Short goes off, sell Sams. But if Short bombs, I’m then stuck with a 210k guy on my bench

Briefly considered the likes of Cockbain and Thornton but preferred to target next round and I do not have the cover to possibly loop their double due to fixture changes and players returning to national duties. Bartlett/Bazley will replace Mujeeb as the representative from the Heat and Abbott/Kerr will increase my Sixers total to three but these remaining trades depend on whether Stoinis or Coulter-Nile is selected with my final trade and I am currently leaning towards Coulter-Nile.

Decided to go for 10-11 doubles next round since I can afford all of the higher priced players and I expected most of the Strikers to score around the 45-85 range. Therefore I bypassed Thornton as I was hoping that Coulter-Nile was named. Thankfully Siddle and Short (C) combined for a massive 573 points and hopefully my singles can match or better most of the Stars and Strikers bar the top three aforementioned.

Thank you Strikers! VC Short, Thornton, Siddle, Wells and Cockbain doing wonders for me!

Hoping for a lift from Stoinis, Zampa, Maxwell and Clarke next game. Abbott and Bartlett my single game players. I'm going to have 11 DGR next round too so hopefully a strong end to the season can catapult me into the top 100 (currently 166).

Grabbing Abbott next round?

Yes. Initially planned this round but since I do not have any cover due to sudden byes and overseas departures I have decided to delay until next round. Still have a trade spare as the Bazley/Kerr trade has not been confirmed and I can use the trade loophole for Bartlett, so Abbott could still force his way in this round.

I'm taking Thornton as a learning curve.

Being able to loop him off the bench, although, reading about how to the night before, when it was I that asked the question, was the most logical thing to do.

Abbott and Dwarsh for mine.
I prefer to have two fast bowlers from the same team because I'm hoping if one doesn't score well the other likely will. Fingers crossed.
Steketee is coming off COVID so I'm a bit leery.
Hasnain started off well against the Strikes as a totally unknown bowler. Did well against the Gades but not so well the Canes.
In two T20 tournaments in Pakistan this year he took 15 wickets in 17 matches. Maybe the Australian wickets are helping him, maybe the batters are worse than the Pakistan batters - but I'm betting that he won't continue as he started.
Only my opinion, of course.

Bartlett v Steketee? Can only have 1 for the DGR, how do you split them?
