4/946 Short
4 Strikers (Short, Siddle, Cockbain, Thornton)
4 Stars (Maxwell, Cartwright, Clarke, Couch)
YTP - Abbot, Sam’s, Hasnain / Dwarshius

Have 1 trade left with E on Clarke 27
Want to go Phillipe and could put him on field in WKP but more likely leave off field - thoughts?
I plan to get Philippe myself, but would take Clarke + 27 over Philippe this round. In current form I’d probably do it even without the 27 headstart.

I'm taking Thornton as a learning curve.

Being able to loop him off the bench, although, reading about how to the night before, when it was I that asked the question, was the most logical thing to do.
Obviously everyones an expert with the benefit of hindsight but I'm surprised everyone didn't do it in all honesty, very low risk when you can loop a bloke and have a look at both their scores playing the first two matches of the round in a DGW, absolute bonus how unique he's ended up and gives me a genuine chance to push top 100 again.

Looking ahead to next round and currently thinking

Clarke to Wade
Siddle to Abbott
Short to Bazley
Zampa to Meredith
Maxwell to Henriques/D.Short/Zaman

All my Stars DGR are looking at cash losses, so thinking of giving Abbott a round on a 134 BE and grabbing a Steketee/Bartlett who have more achievable BE’s this round

Looping a striker or 2 off the bench given the fixtures was a smart decision, most serious SCers will agree with that.

Taking a youngster who had played one match with no guaranteed security, albeit that looked good on debut, isn’t an obvious slam dunk option. Could have easily gone 0/40 and then dropped. Lots of luck in nabbing his score, and I say that as an owner.

Think I’m going to give Abbott a round to hopefully shed 10-20k

Bartlett v Steketee? Can only have 1 for the DGR, how do you split them?
I really like Bartlett’s role if you think he’ll continue to bat at 6. Some people expect the Heat to get rolled pretty easily, in which case he should get a decent batting opportunity.

I saw your earlier post, and was going to reply to it.

I've actually never done it myself, but asked about how to the day before with some very good info about it.

I simply forgot.

Went Cockbain about 2 mins out from lockout, but I was going to bring in Stoinis.

The DGR loop, never crossed my mind.

Now that it's sunken in abit more... watch out!

;)

Bazley BE 7, might grab him now and wait on Phillipe

D.Short to Bartlett
S.Marsh to Bazley

Could be my final 2 trades
Bazley for me is a wait and see what lineup they have for the double, still think ultimately if everyone is available his role becomes pretty average and we are having to pay top dollar for his services now.

He had a pretty good role in a full team before, don’t see why it would change now?

The Hurricane bowlers must be licking their lips for Round 13.
Tough to split last round bowlers...loading up with Cane bowlers could well be the play for a POD run.

Edit: having said that "zigzagging" has killed me this season...then again it's gotta work once, doesn't it?
yah, but which Cane bowlers?

Might need to change my thinking about Fantasy games altogether or just stop playing

Dumbfounded by some of the comments around Thornton

5 trades a round, Hurricanes & Renegades on a surprise Bye , Strikers playing the first 2 games of the round and he is $ 51,100.00

What's not to like to sit him on the bench with the E ?

Would have taken a 40 in all honesty

I also looped Nielsen & Weatherald but that obviously didn't work (not that I was expecting much)
