If the AVERAGE SALARY has exceed the $18M salary cap, that means teams have back ended some or all of their 2017 Draft Class players. i.e. In 2020 they are paying less than the average for some or all of those players.
Been going through each team bit by bit and now understand how they have achieved it ...

- not the way I interpreted the rules .... but not a big deal and just something that caught my eye .... will be better prepared for the future !!

... all part of the learning process I guess and now up to modified plan E :)

Round 1 is nearly upon, 48 hours in fact. The excitement is mounting. So, without further adieu here is the Team Submission and Match Centre Google Sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CUEDBD1WCAAPswIlUtVcaXZQBqZfKgV-ILmPfoqXz14/edit?usp=sharing

Round 1 will have a Rolling Lockout for the Thursday Night game.

Please familiarise yourself with the rules around team submission.

Good luck.

Team Structure & Submission

Team Selection Criteria:
- DEF: 6
- MID: 8
- RUC: 2
- FWD: 6
- Emergencies: 4 (Any Position)

Team Submission
- Teams are submitted via the Team Submission GoogleSheet, this document is sent out in the days leading up to the next round.
- Coaches are to submit their team prior to the start of the first AFL game of the round. This is a Full Keeper League Lockout.
- For irregular AFL Rounds (e.g. Thursday Night Games), a Rolling Lockout will be in place to assist coaches with team selection.
- The Rolling Lockout is purely for clarity on AFL Team Selections. Not for VC/C or EMG Loophole purposes.
- The League Administrator will lock relevant player cells on the Team Submission document, allowing changes to be made for players not yet locked out up until the Full Lockout is scheduled for that round.

Captain & Vice Captain
- Teams are to select a Captain and Vice Captain for each Keeper League fixture, by allocating the 'C' and 'VC' to a selected player
.- The player selected as Captain will score double points for that round.
- The player selected as Vice Captain will score double points for that round, should the selected Captain not play.

Emergencies
- Each round a team must select 4 Emergencies, these players can be of any position.
- For an Emergency to replace a non-playing player on field, they must have the corresponding positional catergory.
- In the case where two or more Emergencies have the same positional catergory, the Emergency with the lower score for that round will be counted as the replacement score for the team.

@KLo30 I would like to clarify the emergency situation ...

If I list my four emergencies and they are categorised as D, M, R and M-F, can I nominate the M-F as an F emergency? Or does that mean if a Mid misses I get the lower score of the M & M-F?

You can nominate the M-F as F only. Leaving you with D, M, R and F

If you nominate the M-F as M-F, then should a Mid miss then you get the lower of the M & M-F.

@Goodie's Guns is the expert in these matters.

Ahhh I've always taken it that if a player is a MID/FWD, they are placed in the sheet as a MID/FWD. You can't specifically nominate for them to cover only one position.

So if you have a MID/FWD and a MID within your 4 EMGs, and you have a late out in the MIDs, then the lowest score out of the MID/FWD and the MID on the bench comes into the 8 starting MIDs.

Well there you go.

We'll have a conversation and make a clear declaration before Thursday's game in this thread.

Awesome interface! I have the Google Sheets app and it’s pretty easy to do the selections via phone on the fly as well!

Glad you like it, and the feedback is much appreciated. :)

Google Sheets app definitely works well when you're out and about.

We have a Match Centre as well. We are saving that for game action.

Tough crowd on that Tappa thingy ... I like a bit of humour and banter ...

So on that theme ...

It looks like we got us a team ... lol ... time for us to get trucking through this comp and get this party started ...
Otherwise it comes down to some late night music considerations including this one ... applies to all players ...

- The 2020 theme songs aint there for nothing ... already building my next list ... any recommendations will be considered !!

Teams have told us they like flexibility where possible under reasonable constraints, so here is the clarified emergency situation.

EMERGENCY POSITION(S)
  • Each round a team must select 4 Emergencies, these players can be of any position.
  • Teams must nominate a position(s) for each emergency selected.
  • Players who have dual position eligibility may be nominated as dual position or single position. e.g. M-F can be nominated as M only, F only or M-F
  • For an Emergency to replace a non-playing player on field, they must have the corresponding positional category. i.e If Forward misses there must be a player with an Forward (dual or single) designation in order to be covered.
  • In the case where two or more Emergencies have the same positional category, the Emergency with the lower score for that round will be counted as the replacement score for the team.

Damn looks like my lack of understanding of the Richmond rucks and the shorter games will make me the recipient of the first SCSUL donut :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
22 hours to get the first trade done, surely there is time!

I can offer you Hickey, Kreuzer or De Koning ... might be better off with whoever has Soldo.
