Re. Trades

Trades will be able to be completed sometime following the Contract Years Submission Deadline. @KLo30 is working on a team tracking document that will house each teams playing list, contract years, contract amounts, etc. as well as a Trade Submission hub, and will likely make further announcements surrounding this over the coming days.

In the near future a thread will be posted in the TapTalk forum to post 'ads' for players you may wish to put on the trade table, or for players of a certain position, age, salary, contract, etc. that you may be wishing to recruit. Personally I would advise holding trade discussions privately between the parties, so that details of discussions aren't able to be seen by other coaches (who might then 'trump' you with a better offer). But that's up to the individuals.


Team Threads

If over the next few days teams could start to create their threads on the TapTalk forum that would be good. This is where coaches will also house copies of their lists, draft picks held, and contract and salary info, etc.​

It's been quite disappointing that we have had multiple instances of teams not meeting deadlines.

It is critical going forward that teams meet any deadline. There are many things behind the scenes that need to get done in order to run the competition. We can't just press a button, and I broke my magic wand fighting the death eaters, it doesn't work that way.

If you think you'll have an issue meeting a deadline, whatever it is, let Tim or I know so that we aren't left wondering, as we'd much rather know that you can't make XYZ in time, and come up with a solution, that is fair to all teams and respects our time, than to be in the dark and have to punish teams.

This game is complex, which is great and we haven't even pulled back all the layers. However, putting together the record keeping, trades and future draft documents are also complex and time consuming. At times you'll have to be patient whilst it gets to the stage where it works for us, expect the odd error, however it doesn't need to be prolonged by having to wait on teams past deadlines.

Man, after seeing the various features missing from tapatalk, I've become more appreciative of the features which the SCS forum has. I'm sure they must cost more (i.e. good mobile support, copying pictures into posts directly, etc).
