Got a few questions as I do some research ....

1. The first set of 60 players auctioned say we have a +15 second extension available to finalise bids ....
- Is it a limited number available per coach or are we really going to end up with these extensions for most players being auctioned ....
We are aiming to have bids stop at 90 secs, whilst trying to allow the final bids and full price. We aren't ESPN, so can't program this into our draft. We can't allow an endless time or we will never finish the draft. We expect everyone to stay within the "Spirit" of the rule and game throughout the competition, rather than seeking loopholes.

2. Also for the first set of 60 players being auctioned regarding contracts and front / back loading of them ....
- are they set and forget or can I "tinker" with them in future years .... I know it says that the "structure" can't be altered once enetered into but what about the yearly payments or is that part of the "structure" .... just need to clarify .....
At the end of the top 60 players drafted in this section will be locked into their salary structure for their contract years until traded to anther team or their contract expires.

3. Is there a provision for a quick practice run on the bidding process for a random player so we all or some of us can get an appreciation of the applications being utilised ....
see below

4. What is the "Rookie" price cutoff value / criteria for the following:

View attachment 17250
Below the price of the number one draft pick in the given season.

5. What do the extended multi years values in the 2017 draft mean ....
- I'm struggling to compute / understand the figures in this one ...

It's philosophy goes something like this:

I'm going to use $5500 as the magic number.

50% for two years. 60av to 90av. $330,000 to $495,000. Contract = $330K + $495K = $825K or $412.5K p.a. (75av)
75% for three years. 60av to 105av, $330K to $577,500. Contract = $330K + $495K + $577,500 = $1,402,500 or $467,500 p.a. (85av)
100% for four years. 60av to 120av. $300K to $660K. Contract = $330K + $495K + $577,500 + $660K = $2,062,500 or $515,625 p.a. (90av)
125% for five years. 60av to 135av. $300K to $742,500. Contract = $330K + $495K + $577,500 + $660K + $742,500 = $2,805,000 or $561,000 p.a. (102av)

Introducing the:

Roppongian Rangers

Founded in the depths of Tokyo, the Roppongian Rangers have fully utilised the resources of a more technologically advanced society in preparation for the inaugural SCS Supercoach Ultimate League. With an army of AI robots scouting players, developing strategies and analysing opposition coaches, the Roppongian Rangers spend every moment of the day scouting its prey.

Despite all the resources invested so far in big data analysis, the Roppogian Rangers are still yet to secure a marketing agent to develop a logo and guernsey however, have secured a home ground for its first season at the Roppongian Dome (with rumours of a change of headquarters for season 2021).

Thanks everyone for providing the details required to setup the other forum accounts.
Everyone should be all set now, if you have any issues just let me know.

We will use that forum to to store individual team threads, trades, results and ladders, among other things.

Thoroughly enjoying these and looking forward to the remaining ones.

As long as the army of AI robots serve their primary function to destroy opposition and/or turn on their masters, I will be forever indebted if they decide to spare my side.

On this part - are we expected to lock in the structure immediately after bidding or can we finalise structures after the Top-60 part of the draft?

At the end of the top 60 draft, but before the next section. We will check that all is properly entered and then lock the salary structure away.

Playing in a Dome should be easy for us water loving teams. I'm assuming @Jordan's Jets has us playing at The Hangar, so another dome like structure. I bet they don't travel well.

I don't think Jets will run well under the sea at Neptune Park.

Thanks .... I guess points 1 and 2 are site unseen / experienced yet for me in a defining moment for a long term commitment ...

- I haven't experienced the bidding process yet and literally have 90 seconds to get my head around the whole setup and processes right from the get go as it currently sits ....
- so if a 15 second time extension exists to improve your last bid then I'd be likely to utilise it as much as possible until I get my head around how it actually all works ..
- I actually think it is more suited to the following draft category and that a coach may only have "one" up their sleaee to utilise:

1590342509877.png

I also don't see any penalties for deliberately utilising Emergency loopholes yet etc .... we all know that if an opportunity exists that it will be exploited like any set of rules ....

But on a positive side thanks for the clarification on when to lock in the contracts for the first 60 players drafted .... that makes more sense and life a touch easier ...

Back to my research .... not attempting to rock the ship here (in built nature of looking at things for potential future short comings) ... just looking at the finer points and practicability ...

In three full completed seasons (plus one round this season) in our other Keeper League we have not had not had one instance at all of this occurring. You've got to remember, we're running our own specifically designed league through various GoogleDoc sheets, not a multi million dollar setup. There's got to be some acknowledgement and buy in from participants to accepting and sticking to the outlined rules, and as Ken has now mentioned a few times, we expect everyone to stay within the "Spirit" of the rule and game throughout the competition, rather than seeking loopholes.

Oh, and given we have to complete the changes of EMG scores onfield and counting VC scores as captaincy scores, it's pretty easy to identify anyone trying to exploit and simply not allow it.

Sounds good to me (but also needs to be clearly articulated in the rules IMO) ... only got the full set of rules for a week'ish now and am going through them bit by bit ....

- please bear with me as I'm not shy at putting my observations forward ... even if they are short sighted or wrong ... usually most are for clarification of what I already expect the outcome to be ...

Edit: I add this because Thursday night games are becoming more common ... I actually like that concept as a sports lover ... but it inadvertently opens up the loophole opportunities more than ever ... so in my mind it needs to be addressed ....

- Ie. ... You could set and forget one set of them at the start of each round with no negotiations available .... (VC and C) ..... commencement of the first game locks them in !!
- However ..... the E loophole options for all other cases could still be utilised as per per normal ... this to me makes it very clear and concise for the early games ... should present no avenues for conflict as most of us should know about or utilise this opportunity anyway in other fantasy formats ...

Time to hit the sack ... but think these suggestions could solidify some of the ?? marks and exploitation opportunities ...

The owner of SCKL heavyweight Goodie's Guns FC has agreed to buy a club licence in the newly formed SuperCoach Scores Ultimate League (SCSUL), Goodie's Football Group (GFG) said in a statement released on Monday.

Goodie's Giants FC will become the second club in the GFG network, where owner Goodman himself will front the clubs football department in a combined role as coach, head recruiter and football manager among other things.

"This investment is part of our long-term strategy to be present in key fantasy football circles, play beautiful football and develop talent" said multi-billionaire Goodman.

"We were attracted to the complexity of the SCSUL, it shapes as a league in a class of its own. We are committed to setting up a state of the art facility for the club to develop and evolve over the months and years ahead."

The Giants will release further details in the coming days surrounding their home ground, training facilities, playing guernseys and merchandise.

The SCSUL season gets underway on the 11th June, 2020.

Given the feedback I've received in regards to people's availability, and a big thank you to those who have replied, and the need to move things along, I'm proposing the following times to begin the drafting price.

Wednesday: 8pm - 9pm
Complete round 1, and as much of round 2 as possible
Thursday: 8pm - 9pm
Continue where we left off and get as far as possible (ideal rounds 3 & 4)
Friday: 8pm - 9pm
Complete the top 60 draft
Saturday: TBD
2017 Draft Class, 2018-2019 Draft Classes (??)
Sunday: TBD
???

What needs to be done before then:
  • Teams to publicly announce team names before Monday evening
  • Join Messenger group to help facilitate draft communication
  • Release draft order for all aspects of the draft
  • Obtain access to draft document and become familiar
Where teams sit in the draft order for each section of the draft will have an impact for the first section of the draft. I'd rather teams make their announcements before releasing the draft, that's part of the fun of this league.

Messenger details will follow in the next few days.

I need to clean the draft document of choice before the beginning of the draft. However, seeing some choices and what the result will entail will enable teams to get a better understanding of the process and all that it entails. Therefore, I'd like teams to have a day to see this and play with it before I clean the slate. i.e. Monday evening to Wednesday early morning before I clean the slate.

We are moving quickly and tying up loose ends as we proceed. So, bear with us whilst we move warp speed to the AFL deadline.
(Yes, I'm watching Star Trek as I type)
Sorry @KLo30 and all, although I had expected Wednesday to be free something has come up for me which may run into the start time, is it okay if we start from Thursday night?

I reckon we need to aim to have Phase 5 kick off Sunday night, Monday at the latest. That part alone could run 5 hours
