Gents - just a heads up that I am having an issue submitting my team via the spready.

It may be specific to me, or just parts of my team page, but I can't select certain players in certain positions.

For example, Dyson Heppell is available in my E2 dropdown, but not at M7 (where I would like to play him).

My understanding is that Shuey won't play and that Cotchin is likely to be a late out. Crouch is also suspended. On that basis, my preferred mids would be:

Boak
Greenwood
Hunter
Menegola
JPK
Ross
Heppell
Sier (in lieu of Cotchin)

E2 Jones

I will be back online before lockout/after work, but wanted to flag this ahead of time.

Please let me know if you want me to do anything in the spreadsheet. I've managed to get my other positions how I want them, and tried a couple of devices, so hopefully my mids are an isolated case!

In the corresponding Round 1 fixture last year, the Timelords were smashed against YRA (TailsPower). This was mainly due to YRA’s rucks dominating the match 348 - 132. This year the Timelords are trying a new tactic of fielding just one ruck in an attempt to bamboozle the YRA game plan. At half time it appears to be working with YRA holding a significantly reduced 93 - 0 lead.

With Finlayson not being named I have switched Bergman off the bench to replace him on field and make his Timelords debut. Zac Langdon has come in to replace Bergman in the emergencies and likely cover for Brander who is on field at present but has also not been named in the 22, but could get a start as an emergency.

Apologies - I didn't put a position next to emergencies.

Stupidly thought if Corr and Hanrahan were only Defender and forward, and named in that order they would be that. Tipping I can't win anyway

Final results and reviews are now available.

Scores, Ladder and League Review in their thread. Individual game reviews in the Round doc.
Incredible review and analysis of the league and individual matches for the week @KLo30. Amazing stuff.

Reminder to all coaches, now that round one is behind us to make your team threads in the SCSUL hub. Include your team and draft selections held within the first post.

I feel it’s very unlikely to change the outcome for me, but just bumping this on the off chance that it influences the ladder for others at the end of the year.

I think the outs from my side would be N Jones (51) and Cotchin (DNP), with the ins being Greenwood (50) and Sier (37). Not much net impact, but I thought better to flag it now!

Loving the write-ups as well 🙂

* Team submission sheet has been sent out.

REMINDERS
Please ensure that positions for emergencies are nominated when entering your teams.

2021 TEAM SUBMISSIONS

With AFL team announcements to continue to be released only 24hrs prior to each game, SCSUL team submissions will adopt similar protocols to those afforded in season 2020.

Prior to the first game of each round, SCSUL teams are expected to enter their ‘expected’ starting 22, and ‘expected’ 4 emergencies. Including a Captain and Vice Captain.

Should a SCSUL team have a player within their starting 22 or 4 emergencies who is in doubt (e.g. Injury or Omitted), and they are not then named to play for their AFL side, the SCSUL side will be able to replace the player.

That is, an emergency can be moved straight on field in place of the player who is not named for their AFL team, for teams named after the start of the first game of the round.

Where an emergency is not named for their AFL team, for teams named after the start of the first game of the round, a new emergency player is able to be selected.

Specific DPP movements to replace a player selected on field by an SCSUL team who was not named for their AFL side, for teams named after the start of the first game of the round, are allowed.

IT IS EXPECTED THAT TEAMS WHO SUSPECT THEY HAVE A PLAYER WHO MAY BE IN DOUBT MAKE NOTES OF THE SPECIFIC EMERGENCY AND/OR DPP MOVEMENTS. THIS CAN BE DONE BY EITHER WRITING IN THE NOTES SECTION OF THE TEAM SHEETS, POST IN THE SCSUL THREAD OR BY PRIVATE MESSAGING THE LEAGUE COMMISSIONER.

Hi Ken, for future rounds, would be okay to ask that the side entered for the prior round is rolled over by default.....? This was helpful last time around with the shorter turnarounds but if possible, it would be good to have it in any case. No worries, if not possible though!

I did consider this, however chose to clean the slate, which is actually more work for me by far. Given AFL team naming and the rolling lock out we've put place, I wanted to be sure that teams have actually put their team in for the week by the deadline of game 1. There is already enough grey area with late changes without adding possibly more shades.

Maybe after a few rounds teams will settle down, and I'll have less concern around late changes.
