Strategy 2023: Round 12 Trades

Quickly running out of trades now and wondering how on earth I can upgrade the team and negotiate the byes. I'm looking at double donuts in R15 and won't have the trades to sideways anyone.
Is this silly?
Ashcroft > Wardlaw
Simpson > Ford
Darcy > Briggs
810k ITB
Means I can upgrade 3 rookies with 3 trades over the byes and be left with Wardlaw and Briggs on the field with 5 trades left.

Laird out now wow. I have just 6 round 12 bye players, yet will struggle for 18 with Laird & sicily suspended. Need some ins out of constable (no chance), davey jr (tippa was horrendous and davey jr is like for like), simpson (supposedly rested so should come in), drury (didn;t play vfl so maybe he did miss with his hip injury rather than dropped, would be shocked if he came back in though), cincotta (carlton injury and suspension crisis so hopefully), and fingers crossed Seamus mitchell is ok after looking injured late in the game.
This actually isn’t true. Collingwood give up a heap to other midfielders. The lions or bulldogs steal the most points from mids and would therefore be the toughest to score against.
I’ve used the ‘pies don’t tag’ rule as a thing when selecting vc’s if I have a premo mid playing them early in the round. Works more than you’d think.

If Wardlaw was as injury prone as you think, Eagles wouldn't have given away their top pick and would have drafted him! 
It is something that nearly made me bring Ford in last week after 1 game. Had expected a 50-55 against Pies and was a bit below, plus low TOG was noticeable. Think it depends on how many players you have to trade out. I have Wardlaw, with Ford, Oslin and McAndrew will all come in to upgrade Ashcroft, Worpel and Atkins. Hopefully Wardlaw gets an another spike game in.

I watched the Swans game and geez McAndrew looked horrible, i had planned on bringing him in after his bye, but even if he is named i'm not sure now, i would have to be very desperate.... which i most likely will be
Challenge is I have Teackle at R3 and can get 130-150k depending on who I bring in. if McAndrew is in R13 then will trade, if not can hold or consider Madden. I struggle with Briggs, understand the money making side yet too much money parked on the sidelines it feels without on field scoring.
