He did 4 hamstrings last year, North knew the risk and held him back for a reason, talent has never been questioned but keeping him on the park is something they are all but certain to continue to carefully manage hence the low TOG in both games to date.

Was simply flagging that its something that needs to also be considered before paying 190K for a rookie thats already got one poor score.
Thank you for flagging for those of us who have not been following as closely. Term gets overused and is commonly ill fitting, so I usually exercise caution taking it on face value if further information is not provided.

what is Atkins injury? Saw he got subbed but not a lot of chat / media what it was…

I had mild plans but it's all been thrown to **** over the last two weeks with:
  • Cincotta dropped
  • Chesser dropped
  • Drury dropped
  • Atkins injured
  • Darcy injured
  • Ratugolea injured
  • Davey dropped
NFI what I'm doing now. I went from 21 to struggling to get 18.

Might look at a R/F link to get me through the year. Darcy Cameron or Luke Jackson - not sexy but practical.
Been planning for months to get Jackson post bye, but his last month has made him a bit more expensive than I'd have liked to pay. Still a fair chance that I do it, moving Esava on, and bringing in a R/F donut.

Blues fans, the likelihood of Cincotta getting named? Surely a chance with all the injuries.

Think if he is named that I’ll actually bypass Wardlaw. That extra trade by holding Cincotta could really come in handy.

Will just find out Thursday but I expect 4-5 changes and he should come in.

OUT: Hollands, IN: Fisher
(Don't expect we need to bring LOB/Binns in, just move Cottrell to wing and play Fisher HFF with some midfield rotations)

OUT: Hewett, IN: E Curnow
(I'm a bit over Ed Curnow in the 22, but with the midfield outs, expect he plays)

OUT: Newman, IN: Cincotta
(I think Cincotta is a likely in, having just come out of the team and performing fine. If we didn't have so many midfield injuries, I expect they could've moved Doc here, but will likely need Doc some midfield time still)

OUT: Cripps/Cerra, IN: Dow/Young
They are challenging Cerra's suspension now, see what happens. Also in the dark on whether Cripps is fit. I expect Kennedy (0% CBA last week lol) plays midfield this week, so they could bring in someone like Young here, rather than a direct midfield replacement. If both Cripps/Cerra miss, I can see Dow coming in.

Long story short; I would say 95% Cincotta comes in. They might bring Young in first, but I would say both come in anyway if that was the case.

Thanks mate, that all sounds really positive for a Cincotta return.

Be interesting I think if Cincotta comes back in. I thought reading the club boards that he was dominant in the VFL win over the Swans but looking at the clubs report he wasn't even named in the best.

4 trades,

out Viney, Wilmot, Wagner and Parker
in Mullin, Ford, Jackson and Freo Brayshaw

Viney about to drop $40k, Parker has the bye and suspended the week after. So Jackson comes in again after traded out round 3 and Brayshaw both on bye this week, Short term pain for a better ride through the byes.

Sooooo tempted to trade Steele to Macrae or similar, even though my entire forward line is already missing rd15. Would almost rather a zero than watch his pedestrian style attack on the contest at the moment. Rowell another possibility. Will probably hold though, damn common sense!!

Sitting on 16 trades, a boost and $265K. Need to try and keep funds to help with dealing with the rd15 bye situation and bringing Oliver back in. Most definitely Wilmot to Ford, and will assess any other trades as the week goes on. Setting up to bring in Neale/Brayshaw et al next week. Hard to balance trading out underperforming premiums, and finishing upgrading your team, considering the lack of cash making rookies.

Possibly no trades after going early on Ford. 18 playing before trades (based on this week).

SC 2023.11.jpg

I'm in a lot of pain if Atkins is dropped/injured. I have no cash generation and 2 unfunded upgrades still (1 is funded by Atkins/Mitchell). I'll need at least 1 sub $500K upgrade.

Round 15 the other big issue, but that's not uncommon.

I could use the bank to go Roberts/Sharp to Wardlaw. If Atkins misses, then Atkins to Wardlaw.

Yep I think Cincotta would have to be first in line for Newman, he played well on the weekend too.

I would like to see Binns for Hollands but Fisher had a huge game & surely must play this week

Yep. I could see both Fisher and Binns playing if they want to keep playing so many wingers.

Be very annoyed if Fisher doesn't come in!

Should be able to sit after these moves and just let everyone max out in price, 2 upgrades left, 10 trades, 130K banked with Humphrey,Briggs,Mitchell,Ford,Cincotta and Johnson to use to finish the side, won't have many trades spare but should get there ok.
Well done, great spot.

This week for me is purely going to be downgrades - don't see the point of completing an upgrade when they are going to have a bye shortly.

At this stage it is McKenna > Ford
Will look to see if there is anything more viable for JvR, but may wait til next week and upgrade him with extra $$

Briggs, I see as a waste of time, unless you downgrade one of your ruckmen - maybe Darcy with his injury, otherwise not having DPP status means that he is pointless other than for 2 rounds. At his average, he should be on ground
