What's the deal with Rozee on the weekend for anyone watching the games?

He's going to drop cash, has his role changed with WInes and Drew doing plenty of grunt work? Is there a balance issue with PA midfielders now that's seen Rozee turn into a ball watcher rather than more coalface extraction?
I thought he might benefit from captaincy a little with a slight improvement and certainly not a regression.
I'm also an owner. While the early scores are a bit disappointing I don't think that there is too much to worry about, his disposal efficiency has just been a bit off and he's been kicking some uncharacteristic clangers. I don't think it will take too much to rectify and expect a spike score soon.

Probably leaning the two trades now:

Reid/Sexton/Wilson > Darcy
Howes > Draper

Just feel like we won't have rookie options so want to grab as many as possible early (Draper etc) as I have no confidence there will be many come Rounds 5-11 (Still thinking Sellers, McAuliffe, Clay Hall if we are lucky)

Still a lot to play out, with teams being named etc, but Dees play Thursday night so will have a plan in place on if I want to pull the Howes > Draper trigger or not.
Wouldn't trade Howes yet. Adelaide have had a tendency this year to bomb it into their forward line. Think he has reasonable scoring potential this week.

Is it to late to get Heeney in? Or is it better to wait until after the bye and see him crush WCE!

So annoyed I went with Rankine & Fisher. If I'd had Heeney's scores, I'd be in the Top 500... 2500 rank atm.

Tossing up Miller/Steele/Butters/Heeney or even Rowell

He may well, but he's on my bench anyway this week & the 26 will stagnate his cash generation. Can't hold all the rookies until their peak (can if playing for a league win) but have to move some on before they are peaked. I also want to grab Draper as I like his job security.

Still early in the week with injury lists & team news to come, but not too worried if he went 60+ this week (85+ would definitely hurt!)

I've had a longstanding view (that I don't have actual stats for but has been something I've noticed) that young captains often see a SC impact. Whether it is because they have less time to focus on their game, become more selfless, or something else.. but it just seems to halt year on year improvement.
Happy to be challenged by anyone who has done the data analysis - this is very much an unquantified "feeling" response!
I did a shallow dive in to this in preseason, pretty much all captains have a 5-10 ppg gain, so was hoping for the same from Rozee. Not sure about the age thing, but Jordan Dawson was about the same age when he became captain.

Yeah interesting, I swear I've seen some have a drop off over the journey but might just be remember a select few vs the overall numbers across 10 years of supercoaching!

I'm one in the "hold Reid till DPP" camp but it's not with the view of necessarily sideways trading him to a rookie (although that could be a live option if there is enough must have rookies on the bubble) but more just to let him sit at D8 indefinitely. If there was a good def rookie then absolutely a trade, but I don't see Draper or Brown making enough cash to be worth the subsequent trade out. In short, it doesn't feel worth it to burn a trade to get them in for a maybe(?) $75k when they could fall short of that and become another deep wood rookie.
I'll likely trade Howes at DPP and move on the the new DPP guys to D7 with a view to loop them vs my last onfield rookies until I go full premo down back, but I just don't see the value in trading Reid for a low return when he'll likely come back and then make as much (if not more) as the Draper types would anyway.
Yeah I understand that position, but I probably value trades this season a bit less than most and am keen to give all bench spots a chance to make money before upgrade season begins where possible. Who knows, maybe Draper & Brown can spike a decent score and still get to 250-300K?

I guess I am scarred from holding Constable the entire season last year - would have been great to jump off him early to a playing rookie in hindsight!

Have added HReid to Touk as a boost for now. Peoples thoughts on a very early trade out of Reid?
No issue with it. Had been identified that he wasn't a big ball winner as a junior. Playing for bottom team. Was hard to fade him in starting team, but I see it as unlikely he's going to do much damage Fantasy/SuperCoach wise.

Definitely SC is the hardest format though to trade him out of (already long gone for me in AF/RDT  ) but he has a positive SC ratio in all three games, with high contested possession rates. Won't take much for him to have a 85SC game... But as long as it's not the week he's traded out, probably can do more with the salary in an upgrade.

why are people thinking of trading jordan out before his game against WCE this week
For me it's to balance byes with Grundy, Heeney, Roberts and Daicos. The WCE thing isn't a gimme for points, I mean the notion last round was that English would push a massive numbers, Butters go big round 1, and Hogan could be the silver bullet round #3. WCE I think are probably giving away a higher number spread over more players in games compared to an individual big SC number. I'd expect Jordan probably goes 75-90ish this week, but so will probably 15 other Swans players.

Got the same dilemma. Will see how this round finishes up, but Dawson -> Green is very tempting.
Time to jump ship: Dawson to Miller
50/50 call, some years they come good, others they just don't recover.
End of season analysis will tell if it's the right call.

Found this on the Melbourne AFL site:

MARTY Hore is set for a short stint on the sidelines after injuring his thumb during Melbourne’s Round 3 win over Port Adelaide.

Selwyn Griffith, the club’s High-Performance manager, provided an update on the defender.

“Following some imagery, scans have shown that he’s suffered a fracture to his thumb that requires surgery,” Griffith told Melbourne Media.

“It’s disappointing for Marty because he’s played a great role for us over the last few weeks, but hopefully he’ll only miss the next two games and look to be available as we come into our ANZAC Day Eve game.”

Operation "TOM GREEN"

Was easier than I thought.
Fyfe to Darcy.
Jordon to Green.

Boost scenario could be the obvious - Coffield to Draper.
However Short is a huge issue. Do I rip the band-aid off and go with a straight swap to Jordan Clark or NWM ?
Unsure on this.

If you think Heeney is going to be one of the primary mids for the whole season, he still presents value.

If you think returning players push him back into the forward line at some point, you've probably missed the boat, unless you can finangle an in-out cash and points manuever.
