Considering culling McKercher early and using a second boost in order to get Steele before he goes north of 600k.
The risk with a move like this is your trade in all the good bubble rookies a week early, and so you get stuck in a cycle of trading in rookies after 1 game rather than 2, which can be a cash Gen risk as with less data you’re more prone to picking the wrong ones.
Steele looks great though so it’s not easy.

What are peoples thoughts on Comben, and what's a pass mark for him this week? Probably up against one of the hardest matchups for KPD's in the comp, although Norths draw does open up a bit after that.
I'd be curious too - great position and I've heard good JS prospects. I'm hoping for a straight swap with James Jordon to grab some cash, then a big slingshot after the two Best 18 rounds.

set on bringing gawn in for grundy so team looks like this for now

tossing up between

hore-clohesly (get a 22 on field, will likely go campbell howes out and then d'ambrosio/mckercher/clark into a premium upgrade week after)

or

mckercher massimo-clohsely martin(would be fielding 21 but getting a premium(martin) in a week early, (likely howes campbell out next week and no upgrade)

cant seem to figure out a way to get gawn and steele in this round

not the most worried about defensive depth with several players able to swing from mid to def after rd6 but would be open to maybe trading young back in?

also dependent on whether clark is named as heard he might be rested

thoughts?

how much more money are ppl expecting d'ambrosio and mckercher to make? has their been any news on whether mckercker will be playing mid more
I have no idea, but I'm willing to give them another week to see if they kick start again to push towards 350+ or stall out. If they're scoring 80s I'm happy to field them and collect the cash gen. 60s they probably go in the next 2 weeks. 70s will depend on everyone else. Ideally one kicks on, the other stalls, and my decision on who to upgrade first is made for me.

I agree, part of the reason I am going early is through fear of missing bubbles boys next week with Clohesy, Graham, Georgiadis, Comben and Ramsden all potentially viable next week.

Admittedly it isn't ideal. After his 54 last week he is my worst performing rookie who has enough value to get to Steele.
in the same situation. happy to bin off massimo this round but need the cash from mckercher to get to martin

see martin getting at least 100 this week which would mean around a 30-40k price rise. i guess thatd make up for the lost cash on mckercher?

That's also a good point. I always o***et the cash the premo will make (at least in the short term) too.

Bringing in Martin this week, can do either:

- Hore to Clohesy & McKercher to Martin
- Howes to Clohesy & Clark to Martin

Would ideally like to keep McKercher a bit longer, but it means only fielding 21 this week. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

2nd option. have tried my hardest to field 22 every week and its been so overrated.

the top scoring team on the best 18 weeks also seem to not field a full 22 if that means anything

am worried mckercher would go back to averaging 80-85 which would be decent as d5/d6 till at least past rd 10

think massimo is **** on the wing so thats not a worry

So i'm going to bite the bullet and trigger this trade this round.

I'm moving Jackson to Ruck to fix that issue then i'm gambling selling Roberts early to bring in Martin which is the only player i can sell to find the cash. My theory is, both Flanders and Martin will generate cash growth if i make this trade.

Fair point. You've also made me realise that I can use D'Ambrosio instead of McKercher to get to Steele. It just makes my defence somewhat weaker and vulnerable until DPP changes and means that a fieldable rookie mid like Sharp or Roberts will be on the bench until then.

How about Grundy, Howes, and Windsor to Steele/Martin, Clohesy, and Comben? Does that work?

Why do you want to keep Grundy? McKercher and Massimo can do at least 1-2 more weeks.
was considering mckercher damborisio grundy for clohesly martin and gawn similar to you

but have settled on a simple grundy hore to gawn clohesly instead. not sure i want to hop off mckercher dambrosio this early. giving them both one more week
Thanks both. Have gone with Old Big 'Ead's suggestion - gives me some cash for next week. I do want to get Gawn in at some stage, so will flick Jackson back to the forward line when I can, but think this is a very strong position for now.
