Makes me very interested in Parker now - he could really get plenty of inside mid mins with Wardlaw out. Played very well in North's match sim today according to observers/ look forward to reading a full report on it later.
Would need to be a pretty bad one for him to be missing the start of the season at this stage, and therefore Parker to reap the benefit. Also have to ask can Parker handle close to full time mid at this stage of his career. Definitely a watch this space though...

There's also the "I'll show them" factor in a first season at a new club. History is littered with this type of player doing well, particularly early in the season, then being a dud in the 2nd and subsequent seasons. Think Hewett at Carlton.
Add in that Parker needs to average 90 for the first 8-9 rounds for a pass mark, and 95 to be considered a good pick, and it's easy to see some upside in him.
This new club verve is usually well represented in tackle counts. Parker has historically averaged 4.5-6.5 tackles/game. I wouldn't be surprised if early on he goes at 7-8 tackles/game, and has some double figure games in there as well. A lot easier to hit the required 90 if you're having 8 tackles/game!
