Hi Rowsus
As they say on SEN - 1st time / long time on your thread {being 1st time caller (question asker) long time listener (reader)}.
I guess the most popular question this week would be who to bring in if we need to move on Jobe Watson. I had recently completed my midfield but now need to replace Jobe (currently I have Ablett, Pendles, JPK, Beams, Selwood, K.Jack, Barlow and Watson).
I think it is almost impossible to select who will score the most points from here forward and given that all of the replacement candidates in my head are premium midfielders - my hunch is they will all avg somewhere between 105-115 for the rest of the year - with maybe the exception of 1 or 2 who might go higher or lower. I believe Jay may have written something last year about it not being so important who your premiums are - it is more the structure of the team for cash generation and points scoring (at the start of the year). Do you subscribe to this theory also?
I would say Rockliff, Libba, Sloane, Fyfe, Stevey J, Swan, Dal Santo, are all viable options - but having a method to split them is really just trying to somehow create correlations which potentially don't exist. I don't think I can justify spending the extra money (rocky / Libba) and am tempted to go either Swan (great history, not a bad draw coming up, Collingwood going well) or Sloane (not getting tagged because of Danger / ultra consistent so far this year)
Thoughts?
