Hi Rowsus. Has the betting resumed on Collingwood? I'm wondering if it was because of the over reaction around Swanny and Mick Gatto.

Hey Rowsus, needing a bit of advice.

7 trades left. $243,600 in kitty.

My plan this week was to go L Taylor out for SJ, but I'm not sure if I should be looking at other trades.
I don't have to worry about Watson, I don't have him, thank god!
I do have M Johnson, with Cutler and Bews on the bench.
I also have Cox with no back up (Currie and Thurlow).
I also have Hartung in mids and McCarthy up forward.

Not sure whether to cop a donut in the ruck?
Probably trade Johnson out for Hanley and still might out Taylor for SJ, not sure what to do. My lack of trades is a worry. Not really concerned about league games, mainly concentrating on ranking.

If you could have a peek at my team, I would appreciate it.

Thanks mate.

Hi freowho,
It has. I think Phil had it right, and it was just a slow reaction to the Monday game. Swan's not high enough up in the betting to have that sort of affect on the market. :p

Hi T-mu,
I understand your thinking, but I don't think Ebert is your man. I can't see him averaging 110 from here. His main hurdle is in the last 2.5 seasons he only has one score higher than 130, and only 5 scores of 120+ in his last 45 games. It's too hard to keep a good average going without those better scores on a more consistent basis.
If you need a POD in that price range, I'd prefer Swallow or Cunnington, though North though they aren't a top team. If the price range isn't important, then I'd look more to K Jack (3.45% of teams) or Hannebery (3.18%), they fit your description better, and are more likely to score at 110 than Ebert (imo).
Good luck :)
Cheers for that Rowsus, I am almost certain to go with Hannebury, am also looking at SJ too, at that price he is too good a player to pass up on, might wait a week though, if he monsters the saints around and posts a big one I will definitely sway that way, if he doesn't fire a shot I will look at one of the hardest running players in the game that loves a contest, Mr Hannebury.
Was thinking outside the box this morning, Ebert is a massive risk, cant afford that sort of risk in my position.

Hey Rowsus,

Managed to only drop 5 places last week to 221 and brought in Jobe who lasted only one week for me.
My issue now is I have Watson, Higgins I would like to move on. Really would like Parker in (should of done it last week) due to his consistency.
Don't mind SJ but seems a popular pick this week and would prefer a Jack or Hannebery but unfortunately can't afford either.
Only 9 trades with $67K and I know winning is now out of the question but would like to finisher as high as I could.
Is there any other option other than Watson to SJ and Higgins to Parker this week? Or is that just the best way to go? Would leave me with only Shenton/Taylor to upgrade?

Hey Lobo,
Harvey/Gray are definitely good targets, and are likely to outscore your current F4/5/6. The problem with shifting Dangerfield up is you are basically saying that Roughead/Pavlich/Wingard are better scoring prospects than SJ/Libba/Fyfe. The move leaves Rough/Pav/Win in your team, while Danger takes a spot that could be taken by better scorers than Rough/Pav/Win.
It comes down to 3 choices.
Choose which one of Rough/Pav/Win you are willing to sacrifice to get Harvey/Gray.
Find a way to trade in Harvey/Gray that moves Rough/Pav/Win to F7 for loopholing/back-up purposes.
Live with the fact you just can't have Harvey/Gray, unless you are happy for them to sit at M8, because even though you'd shift Dangerfield up there, it is the equivalent of having Harvey/Gray at M8.
Roughead and Pav have lowish B/E's, and Wingard has a highish one. Keep in mind that Wingard's B/E will reduce dramatically next week, when his 10 drops out of his pricing cycle. All three of those players would appear to be some sort of chance to miss games, but it would seem likely that Pav is the one most likely to get a rest, or even worse a "red vest" rest.
I think you'd better off targetting someone like Fyfe, even with the "Lyon effect" factored in, than sitting a DPP Fwd in your Mid line. You have Shenton in your Mids right now, creating the desired link, you don't need/want another on the ground.
Good luck :)
Thanks Rowsus. Now I have the extra dilemma with the Cox situation to deal with

Hi mate,

Thoughts on this option...

Lewis Taylor ---> Jeremy McGovern
Watson ---> Josh P Kennedy/Tom Rockliff (leaning towards JPK initially)

Leaves me with 10 trades and $253,300

Will then hope to get Nick Riewoldt the following week as well as my final MID upgrade in the next week or so.

Torress, it's really funny. When I look at my projections there is less than 30 points between the 3 of them in their totals.
It comes out in the order Zorko, Westhoff, NRiewoldt. So if Zorko's DPP helps you out, go for him.
Good luck :)
thanks for the response. really appreciate your work mate. i know you're demon fan - despite all your efforts i still hope the dons knock them over!!

Hey Rowsus man i need to trade Boyd out, so annoying he can't get over this hamstring injury.
Can get anyone under 622k.
Who to go with?
Leaning towards Fyfe. It's a hard one, i dont think fyfe will get rested in the last 4 games or could he?

Hey Juzzo,
I think I would be looking at Johnson ---> Hanley, and McCarthy ---> S Martin.
This gives you Ruck coverage for this week and on going for quite a few weeks (hopefully).
It will also open up some loopholing opportunities in the coming weeks.
Generally I'd prefer to see how Martin performs this week before rushing into him, but your circumstances create an exception.
Good luck :)

Hi Slammer,
I'm really pleased for you, with how well you are doing.
I wouldn't worry about SJ being popular, I think given your desire for Parker, SJ is the obvious way to go.
I really think it the best idea for you right now. Grab SJ and Parker.
Good luck :)

Hey Rowsus

My plan this week is to trade Watson to Stevie J, and Sam Lloyd to Honeychurch (heard he should play soon)
Leaves me with $341,100 in the bank.
Next week trade J Lloyd of Sydney, leaves me with around $600K, move Dangerfield to the mids and get either B Harvey or R Gray (who should finish up in the top 8 forwards).
Good idea?? or better off getting a midfielder for under $600K and leaving Dangerfield in the forwards.

Always welcome your thoughts.
Lobo

Happy to help Lobo.
Given the added Cox problem, I think you either need to "upgrade" Currie to Martin, or swap Cox to NicNat.
Using Martin/Currie option allows you to do some loopholing in the coming weeks, and provides coverage.
I think I'd go Watson/Currie ---> Fyfe/Martin.
Good luck :)

It's an ok plan, I just think it may not be only this week you face Ruck problems, and Martin might possibly be of use beyond this week.

Hey brad,
I like Fyfe. I think he will do really well for the rest of the season. Outside of the usual suspects (Ablett, Pendles etc) I think he could have the best average from here on in. He could possibly get rested, but I'd be prepared to risk it.
Good luck :)

Any love for Treloar? Is averaging 114 for the year, and 118 in his last 3 since the BYE, but is still only priced at $540k.

Seriously considering between him and SJ ... both able to pump out a big score here or there (Treloar 154 in R1 and 176 in R3).

Thoughts?

He's a very good young player, but I have doubts he can average 110 from now to the end of the season.
It's a hard thing to do in a side that doesn't win many games.
Maybe next season, or the season after, as GWS improve.
