Here's the first draft. Please bear in mind I've just chosen bench rookies on price, no certainties there, and haven't considered bye structure too much yet. Would just like thoughts on my main structure as rookies will be defined once i know who they are and if they're playing. Appreciate your thoughts, criticisms etc....

Clearly my backline is sacrificed for other mids and fwds, think i'll enact that strategy as i don't think anyone in the higher $ bracket is worth it.

hey all, would love some feedback regarding this team. I have used a similar price stategy most years and it has done me well. I focus on my league wins but keep a keen eye on my overall ranking. I never trade to improve my ranking though. Finished 495 in 2014, similar in other years.

so, my thoughts are.....
a bit top heavy in defence - i'd sacrifice simpson or smith or both to get another (semi) premo in the mids
think you should only have two of Petracca/Brayshaw/de Goey and replace one with the semi premo mentioned above
Fwds look good, don't mind the 4/4 strategy providing clark and hogan get through the pre-season. Hogan's a question mark, hence i have him on the bench.

Hey Monya, i've applied similar thoughts to DEF. would rather bank some mid points and keep fingers crossed a couple of my DEF step up. my only question would be goddard in the FWDS. i see him declining. i like your mid premos, think Sloane will get better and Ward will benefit from his old buddy Griff. Would you add Clark as the TBC in the FWD's? think he's a must have.

is too many! Especially with the vast majority unproven keepers

Also you need a lot more mid rookies, lose most of Murphy, Swallow, Mitchell, Van berlo, Anderson for Ultra Premium and rookies and upgrade your backline a bit. Mid pricers/speculative players are good to have but to have 10 is crazy, there are all not going to work and become ultra top 10 premiums

Correct. The plan is obviously bank on pendles.. But I believe danger, jpk and buddy offer value as Sporadic VC options..

TBC is Bellchambers as Aneil pointed out, having him as my FWD/RUC swing coz of Berger's injury prone history.
Who would you replace Goddard with? As for Mitch Clark, may replace Steele if he doesn't play round 1.
Sloane and Ward because of their consistency and bye friendly rounds.

The first thing that comes to me is your rucks.
Very value for money but very risky as well with no backup plan.
I would replace Berger or Kreuz with a safer option eg. Maric/Minson/Goldy

i'd have buddy or bennell over goddard but i could well be wrong. yep, great defence strategy and i'm right there with you. i've got Ryder in FWD's as cover for Nicnat and Leuie, not sold on that tho

Bennell is an interesting one, was on my radar the whole pre-season.
Depending on how he goes during the NAB cup, I may switch Goddard to him and save me some bucks.
Just an opinion but I think Ryder's scoring could be hampered by Lobbe.

Word is he will start in their 22 , run of half back and they are looking at big things from him , and Lever a source at another club described him as a gun with attidude , and wouldn't be surprised if he started as well , is highly regarded , based on info i got i included them at this stage.

I initially had Sloane Swallow and Van Berlo but changed a def. and went for Rocky , not the way i should go in your opinion
