I think Presto picked Waite up after round 2 which has turned out to be a masterstroke...not only putting up monster scores but generating some serious cash too...

As others have said, couldnt justify trading him in at this stage I dont think...
It was more luck than good sense. At the time I had decided to trade Rockliff for R. Gray and on the spur of the moment I added Barlow to Waite.

The fact that you managed to rid yourself of Barlow in the process only adds to the rumors of a genius within our midst!

Yup - he was on the couch with the boys last night. Playing down his form in alot of ways = good sign! Keep that work rate up mate and stop readings the hype =)

The ultimate trade would be to revers this trade now and have Barlow beast the rest of the year (this is not a recommendation of the writer).

Peoples thoughts on Zach Merrett, and his liklihood of being top 6 averaging forward?
I like him a lot and think he will be there or thereabouts. Lacklustre yesterday but wasn't actually that bad - 20p at 70% DE plus a goal - just went missing in the first quarter and a half and got punished badly for it (SC-wise) because that's when the game was decided. Others have suggested the toll of being number two or three midfielder will wear him down, which might be a concern, but personally I think he looks the goods.

I have him and would be happy with a 93-98 from hereon.

I think he can go 100+ for the remainder of the season, he's firmly in my target as an upgrade in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks Thanh - do you mean you think Hall will land in that range, or that you'd be satisfied with him as a starting pick if he did? I didn't start him so I would be paying around 108 for him, and probably looking for 105+ to make him a decent pick or better. That's well above his record before mid 2015, but about 10 points below what he has managed since then.

I don't think he's gone below 90 since he started playing in the midfield, so I think mid 90s would indicate he was playing forward again or potentially even getting the tag ahead of Gaz?

What do people actually think martin will average from now onwards?

Lids back should only help him in my book, means he can go back to the midfield a bit more and just rest forward. (well I'm hoping). Planning to jump on him next week or the week after myself.

I would be happy if he averaged 93-98 for the remainder of the season, probably low on the expectation, but I like to be pleasantly surprised by my players!

Realistically, he could average 105 for the season, which would mean he needs to go at around 101 from hereon. Not a really bad trade in if that eventuate as he won't be much cheaper for the ensuing rounds.

I was going to suggest Dusty as a more valuable pick, but realised you already have him. All the other high averaging forwards are either priced at their max or overpriced so not really much value there if that's one of your determining criteria.

For my team, I'm keen to get on Dusty in the next couple of weeks and keeping a watch on Gunston & Wingard, but probably around bye time.

I think if you don't have the funds to get the MID you want and are planning on upgrading this round, then get Hall. If he continues on his ways, then you'll be laughing, otherwise there'll be a lot of coaches to share your pains if he doesn't.

Good luck with your decision.

Thanks Thanh. I think your second para is the key for me - I'd like to upgrade now, and Hall seems the best available. I think I will lock him in shortly and hope he plays well tonight!

Anyone willing to risk picking up Motlop again? Think the couple of games at SS have flattered him. Burned me last year.
