Debating Cole v J Smith v O'Conner as my donut. I've had Cole for most of the summer, but the other 2 have dpp. Prefer someone who will play soon.

I have Brander atm and not enough money for Cole. Might roll with Smith but I have no idea of his chances at a game this year.

Ablett should score more points than Parker.
He returned some pretty dodgy scores last year though (99, 91, 83, 80, 97, 90). And from big disposal counts too.

$85k saved by taking Parker could be put to good use if Danger stays out (touch wood).

I guess it comes down to whether Dangerfield will pick up right where he left off. If that's what's expected I like Ablett for the straight swap to Danger when he gets "rested"

Ablett also scored 210, 159, 146 and 139 last year, which were all higher than Parker's highest score of 134. Either way, if it's just for the short term for Danger i think Ablett is more likely to get a few big scores. Having said that, i think Parker is value and i did have him in my team a few times pre-season and didn't have Ablett at all.

You would think with just one game left that there would be no more decision to make...... However I've been flipping between Heeney and Buddy, I've swapped between the two several times today, and will probably change my mind a few more times....

Does anyone else still have still have a decision or two to make?

This post made me realise that I'm fully settled on my squad. What a relief.

I'm going with the kid. 10 years younger than Buddy and in 10% more teams.

I’m running both, based on my picks so far I’m not sure I’d be confident in either!

Would love any opinions. Buddy or Heeney? Thanks.
If I was picking names for who would be the top averaging forwards this year, I'd put them both in there. But if choosing between a KPF and a mid type to start with, I would usually take the mid, given the KPF is more likely to have volatile scoring and be a good upgrade target. Buddy has become more consistent in recent years, and Heeney has had an interrupted pre season, but I am sticking with this logic.

Thanks Darkie. Yeh you've pretty much confirmed what i've been thinking, Franklin will have more variance in his scores, Heeney a little safer knowing he is playing a good amount onball, shouldn't be as many high's & low's. Cheers.

If Z Merrett is out this week should I:

1/. Bring D Martin in and forget R14 bye problems and lack of POD
2/. Bring Oliver in as replacement POD
3/. Bring J Macrae as Super POD

Thanks in advance (REP given for well explained answers).

4th option is to hold but I can understand wanting to trade given that he would now be most people's number 1 trade in target in a few weeks and he could be yours aswell. Even though players are generally given a weeks rest many past players with concussion say they weren't the same player for several weeks. Dusty is a volatile scorer and I would assume you decided to wait for a price drop. That opinion shouldn't have changed from 1 game and you have now missed 1 of his good scores so I would still wait for the price drop. I think Oliver is s good pick. Can't see any threats to his role and he doesn't need a lot of possessions to score well. MaCrae looks solid but there are too many question marks at the Doggies at the moment.

Zach is not a LTI ... If he was to miss a game, I would be keeping that trade in my pocket if I was you and using him to loop rookie scores ... That trade will have more use later in the season.

Thanks all,

Z Merrett may or may not have had a concussion in the JLT. Reports note it as a finger in the eye but rumor of concussion with blurred vision.

Hopefully he plays this week so I don't have a problem.

Bombers staff said he had blurred vision on the telecast, but not a concussion.
