Dylan Roberton expected to miss the rest of the season.

Has had a small device inserted in his chest to monitor his heart over the next 3 months.

The Age.

Carlton's shocking injury run has continued, with dynamic young forward Charlie Curnow the latest to join the Blues' long injury list.

Curnow rolled an ankle at training on Tuesday and will miss this week's game against Adelaide.

Scans confirmed the injury was not serious, and the Blues had hoped he would get up for this week. But the ankle has not recovered in time for Curnow to play.

Ruckman Matthew Kreuzer is expected to be fit for this week's game and be named in the team later on Thursday, while the Blues remain hopeful captain Marc Murphy could be fit to return in one to two weeks.

JESSE Hogan was absent from Melbourne's main training session on Thursday morning but coach Simon Goodwin expects the key forward to face St Kilda on Sunday at Etihad Stadium.

Meanwhile, fellow Demons star Christian Petracca was on light duties as he continues to build up his training program following surgery on the middle finger on his left hand after suffering a dog bite.

Melbourne expects he too will play.

Kayle Kirby also likely to miss the rest of the season also with a heart condition, I think he collapsed in a VFLpractice game earlier in the season.

first Roberton, now Kirby

Interesting, it happened to Kirby first. Looks like Collingwood have been a bit slow to act, looks like they're following St Kilda's lead. Maybe because he's not a senior player, hence no vip treatment.

MRP has completed Rd7 review. 11 charges and 2 other matters explained.
Dougal Howard can accept $2000 sanction, rough conduct on J Kennedy.
Nic Naitanui can accept $1000 sanction, attempting to trip J Pittard.
Nic Naitanui can accept one game, rough conduct on K Amon.

Contact JCarlisle/JHogan assessed. On goal vision, Carlisle makes contact to throat area. Free kick paid by the controlling umpire. It was view of MRO the contact was not excessively exaggerated by Hogan, while force was below that for a charge, with a free kick paid at the time.

Nice work MRP.. Nic Nat suspended for a good solid, hard tackle.
This game is going from bad to worse.

ban the bump, ban the tackle, don't worry about people kicking it or handballing it when they get tackled (displosing of the ball correctly) just throw it or drop it , have everyone running around chasing the ball like it is U8's and wonder why public interest will drop off

absolute bloody joke

Reckon he should challenge the verdict. The tackle was pretty rough but idk if it warrants a suspension

a tackle is a tackle, their is nothing in the rule book that says how much force can or can't be used, whether it is someone 100 + kg tackling someone who is 80 + should not matter

from memory the umpire paid a free kick and said you should have rolled him, nothing said about the force of the tackle

surely we won't get to the stage where we go sorry player a you tackled him too strongly, free kick against
