Trying to decide who to trade out of Rocky and Hore. I'm looking at Hore because he would need to be traded out later anyway but just so unsure.

And still deciding between Ryan v Sicily since last week. I get recommendation and then decide on Sicily, I read a Herald Sun Article then decide on Ryan and more advice changes to Sicily.. just can't decide on who to go haha

I'm in desperate need of league wins this week so any advice on who you'd back to get a higher score THIS WEEK out of the 2?

Ok. Moore has to go to get me 18 this week (unless I could find value in selling Lachie Young). Position will be D6/7, but 5/6 until Whitfield is back.

Have 94k so can spend up to 470. Would prefer to keep $$ to make 2 mid upgrades next week from Walsh and a disappointing mid pricer (370kish)

Decided not to go Milera as I'd have been stuffed next week in defence with Williams, Whitfield and Brodie Smith all unavailable.

Options I've identified include Blakely at 455, McGrath at 405, Hill at 389, Burton at 338. Output expectations/hopes for the position are strong JS and an average of 85, floor of 75 and as high a ceiling as possible. There are plenty of options to meet that, but others seemed to be priced at their limit, whereas the above seemed to have upside on their price (even allowing for Burton having a 6 still with another week to work through)

Thoughts?

no idea sorry on Ryan v Sicily - if it helps I traded Ryan in over Sicily

Personally I see Hore as a luxury final upgrade but expect he will probably stay in my team till the end... he's doing enough as a D6 imo... Rocky should go

have you had a look at Dan Houston? Priced at 469,200, going at 99 over his last 5. Spent some more time in the midfield last game (no idea if that is something that is going to continue however)...

Playing his 50th game this week and hasnt missed a game pretty much since his debut

Sorry to mess things up but I have gone Sicily.
Ryan may still come in the next few weeks but I think Sicily represents good value.

Anyone know what Dylan Clarkes VFL championdata stats were like prior to his game again Carlton.. was that a game out of the box or consistent with he's been putting up?

I have, as I ended up with him last year in the same sort of scenario, and was pretty happy with his consistent 85 odd scoring for the price I paid. I am not so comfortable paying 470 odd for him this year though as I think he's about at the top of his band, and will leave me no $$ to work with next week, which would probably cost me a premo.

Byrne-Jones has similar numbers as well, but slightly cheaper, but I see him as at the top of his band and likely to revert slightly as well.

Blakely from that list
Outright that would be my view, just worried that if I do that I am probably limiting my final 2 mid upgrades to being 1 premo + 1 at 450k, whereas with a bit of a hit on outright numbers here (assuming Blakely goes 95 odd, which isn't guaranteed) I can get into something a bit more high end in the midfield, which is where the potential for the high scorers is.

Good idea about his DPP, gives a bit of flexibility with Burgess lolz!
Has the added bonus of playing against my mob this week too so maybe he can do well?
Exactly ... I’ve still got Moore (at least until tomorrow!) and it has already been handy. Disappointing re Burgess getting dropped, but a paired DPP with one donut and one playing player isn’t the worst outcome ... occasionally it allows you to choose which loophole score you want to take with the benefit of having seen both. Some tough calls to be made at this time of year but it feels like Gardner has lower downside than most.

Thanks guys, 50/50. I might read a few more posts and make a last minute decision before tonight's game.

Here is a screenshot of his VFL page on the Footy Live ap. Unfortunately it doesn’t have SC, but has DT which looks good last year and this year.

From last season FWIW, has only improved since then in my opinion (I only watch every second VFL game really tho):

Currently tossing up whether to back my original plan to bring in Luke Ryan this week.
Slightly concerned with the little bit of uncertainty that comes with Pearce out and Logue slotting into the Dockers back six.

Note, my other trade this week is Rowan Marshall in.

Ryan IN gives me 5 Premium DEFs plus Duursma. 7 Premium MIDs. 5 Premium FWDs.

My alternative option is Caleb Daniel in along with Marshall, leaving me with the following...

Daniel IN giving me 6 Premium FWDs. 4 Premium DEFs. 7 Premium MIDs.

And allows me to get a look at Ryan with Logue in the side, and possibly take Tom Stewart as an alternative next week after his bye this week.

If I go with Ryan, it means I'll definitely be grabbing a FWD next week to complete that line, as my rookie coverage in that line is poor so don't want to get to Round 15 with a FWD rookie on field. And will most likely use my Round 15 Premium upgrade to get in a MID [Sloane/M. Crouch candidates].
