111 lead would have been more entertaining, but that's a serious effort from the bowlers who have turned it on at the right time. Hopefully we can cash in now and put up 200+ in this innings.
4 blokes batting for their short term test life , so certainly hope they improve

Test might be all over tonight the way it is going.

@7/11

is it worth playing Warner at 5 ? and get him away from Broad.

no idea who would open though

EDIT

Labuschagne to open with Bancroft/Harris

I'd probably run with Khawaja at opener. Has looked good in nearly every innings and just gets out to brain fades generally. Warner just having to adjust to red ball cricket again and is in probably the worst place to come back to it in England.

Broad is bowling brilliantly to him and it might just be a case of Warner becoming more aggressive and trying to punish any loose deliveries that are bowled at him so that the pressure is back on the England bowlers. He's been very tentative after a couple of good deliveries are bowled at him, but if he can nail 1-2 of his signature backfoot slaps through cover early doors, I think we'll see him come back to form very quickly.

As I've said previously, I think we missed a trick not having Burns in the squad as the extra top order cover, but I've been wrong about Labuschagne who has done a very good job thus far.

I'm not as worried about a just returned from injury Anderson as I am about Woakes, who is playing 3rd fiddle to Archer and Broad at the moment and could well be the player who finds his way into the match this innings. His first spell in this 2nd innings is going to be crucial to England's chances in this test. If he fires, we could find a way to lose this test, but he's on the chopping block should Anderson be fit next test (even though I think this is England's best 3 pronged attack currently).

I probably need to watch the rest of this Innings before I change the whole team.

Smith should be right for Manchester so surely Labuschagne stays , so one of Head or Wade goes , or Harris if they get Khawaja to open.

Have another game before the 4th Test so hopefully Warner & co can get some runs and confidence.

Out of all those you just named isn’t Warner the guy most out of form?

I think we have 4/5 of them out of form , only Warner & Labuschagne stood up in the 1st Innings so see who stands up in this one.

Smith obviously will come back in.

Can't really bring Bancroft back , so that leaves Mitch Marsh.

Fortunately England have their own batting issues.
