thoughts on Ziebell

Didn't Shaw move him back into the midfield ?

5th on aggregate , 8th average based on last year's scores available to be picked.
Don’t know where to see the numbers but pretty sure he averaged significantly more under the new coach.

Do a search for him, change where it says Season Stats 2020 to the 2019 stats.

He did slightly better in the second half of the year, can't remember when they changed coaches.

Something in my memory is telling me the same thing.
Cheers. Had a quick look. New coach started round 11.

Round 1-10 Avg: 82.7
Round 11-23 Avg: 97.7

Interesting POD for sure.

Thanks for that.

Keep seeing Whitfield , Martin, Heeney in 90% of the sides (obviously for a reason) , was just looking at a few different names.

Just looking at Footywire he has only gone 90+ in 3 out of 11 seasons though that might be a worry.

Appears most favour Whitfield , Matin & Heeney as Top 3 , after Son Son 5-10 could be anyone's guess.

Don't know why there's not a bit more love for Devon Smith TBH. Last year he was playing injured and pulled the pin in round 7. I can't find the numbers for him in 2018 but he lead the league for total tackles and tonned up regularly.

Looks very much like Smith is preferred over Steven at this early stage , if he is 100% for Round 1 , hard to go past him.

I am liking Martin , X , Lynch , Smith at this stage with Whitfield in my mids.

Depending on final rookies and $$$ remaining , could even end up going 3-2-3 up forward.

It’s still so far out from R1 that I don’t see it causing that type of impact. I think fitness in the legs is more important for Heeney
And one thing we know about Heeney is that he has the mental toughness to play with injury and niggles. I'm a wait and see at the moment but plenty have played with broken fingers/thumbs that we know of and plenty more never made public I'd suggest.

I seem to curse Heeney when he is in my team, so I am not selecting him this year.

Didn't Heeney have much better average scores with Buddy playing?
I imagines this is true but have no evidence but don't fret, I can hear @Connoisseur crunching the numbers now.

I thought last year he did go forward as a goal scoring options whilst Buddy was out and also because of his ankle injury.

Since 2017:
I Heeney with L Franklin: 97.11 from 45 (11/45 below 80, 22/45 below 100, 10/45 120+)
I Heeney without L Franklin: 93.88 from 16 (6/16 below 80, 11/16 below 100, 1/16 120+)
