Subiaco, WACA. Adelaide Oval, MCG, Docklands, Kardinia Park, SCG, Giants Stadium, Launceston, GABBA, Carrara.
Favourites:
The G. One of the best stadiums in the world.
The WACA but only because we used to be able to sit on the grass lawn before anyone else wanted to see Freo get thrashed in the early days. I never liked Subiaco as a ground.
Surprisingly the SCG is one of the best places I've watched footy. I think the smaller ground makes you feel closer to the game and their doesn't seem to be the same agro in the crowd. I'm all for passion but hate the agro you often get. I also find the day games more enjoyable. Maybe I just got really old!

Many decades ago, I saw 3 AFL/VFL games live, all Pies games. One at Moorabbin, very cold Melbourne day. One at Western Oval where, while watching the reserves playing, these 4 young yobboes sitting behind me, were being complete nuisances, until my mate said they are Senior players (I don't remember now who they were) waiting to play next. And Finally, watched a game at the MCG, where I couldn't see what was happening at the end of the ground, but when the crowd started cheering, I did too, as it meant a goal was scored.
Give me live TV at the comfort of my home any day :)

I am too young to remember Farmer or Cable , but McLeod would certainly be up their as the best indigenous player I have seen.

Be interesting to see how history will rate Burgoyne , Franklin, Goodes , McLeod , Mickey O , Wanganeen etc etc

Lewis , Long , Matera , M Rioli , Winmar
Coincidentally, I’ve just seen that one of those players jointly holds the record for the most All Australian selections.

Correct. Pretty impressive from the big man. Could set a new mark if he ever gets properly fit again.
Not sure if he gets back to AA , certainly hope he gets back on the park to break the 1000 goal barrier.

Think he is still contracted to the end of 2022 so possibly another 150-200 ish goals in him if he stays full fit.

So another 80 or 90 goals, then.
Who knows with Buddy , last year was the lowest amount of games he has played since 16 in 2012.

944 goals from 300 games thus far

let's say 10 , 15 & 15 games the next 3 seasons that should get him another 120 ish goals so should go past Wade and finish 4th on the all time list.

How good's live sport!

Day 2 of Korean Baseball. https://box-live.stream/stream/45351.html
Doosan Bears big 5 run top of the 3rd innings saw out the LG Twins, who managed 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th. Contact hitting, rather than the long ball, was mostly the key to the Bears victory.

It's great to have live sport. :)

Optus Sport has secured domestic broadcast rights to the K League, ensuring Australians will be able to watch one of the first football competitions in the world to return amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The South Korean top flight begins on Friday night, with Optus moving quickly to secure a deal to show two live games a week on the telco's sports streaming platform - making it the only Australian broadcaster with live football.

The first match involves two Socceroos, Adam Taggart and Terry Antonis, whose Suwon Samsung Bluewings outfit face reigning champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors at 8pm (AEST).
"I know I’m not the only one who’s been staring longingly out the window waiting for live sport to return, so to bring the K League to viewers in such a friendly time zone from this weekend is something we’re really excited about," said Richard Bayliss, Optus director of sport.

AFL players warned of season-long suspensions
By Caroline Wilson
May 8, 2020 — 6.33pm

AFL chief Gillon McLachlan told coaches on Thursday that players breaching COVID-19 protocols faced being suspended for the entire 2020 season.

The warning, which was communicated in a video hook-up to one third of the senior coaches and then passed on to the other 12, came just hours before McLachlan learned that 16 Adelaide footballers trained as a group at a golf course in the Barossa Valley.

McLachlan also raised the prospect of season-ending suspensions with the 18 club chiefs on Tuesday and received significant support. The prospect of tough new penalties for breaking social distancing has also been put to the players' union.

As McLachlan and his team weighed up potential sanctions for both players and club, Adelaide CEO Andrew Fagan said the Crows should not be judged in light of previous misdemeanours and notably the damaging Collective Minds pre-season camp.

SEN.COM.AU ›

Dogs mid rates best he's played with, against and best he's seen
MAY 08, 2020

In his four and a bit seasons in the game at the elite level, Josh Dunkley has already graced the field with plenty of top quality players.

The Western Bulldogs midfielder was given the unenviable task of naming a player in three categories - the best player he's played with, the best player he's seen and the best he's played on.

I would come as no surprise that the best Dunkley has played with comes in the form of current Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli.

"'Bont' for sure," he told SEN.com.au.

"He's so clean, deceptively strong and very composed with the ball. He breaks lines with his skills also."

As for the best player he's seen?

"Buddy Franklin. Kicks goals from anywhere and his athleticism is incredible for a man of his size," the 2016 premiership player added.

And the best player Dunkley has played on?

"Tom Mitchell. His work rate was something I had never seen before and his hands in close are extremely good," he said of the 2018 Brownlow Medallist.

"You can’t give him access to the footy otherwise he can single-handedly win games for the Hawks."

For the record, Dunkley has a 2-1 record in games against Franklin and has a 1-2 record against Mitchell, that one being the 2016 Grand Final triumph over the Swans.
