I think the testing turnaround is pretty quick though. All the players and staff will be tested twice a week whether they have symptoms or not won't they? Think I heard that somewhere.
I was also thinking as soon as a team mathematically can't make finals they should be removed from the comp and sent home. The teams they were fixtured to play automatically get 4 points. The fixture is compromised even without the virus anyway. Less chance of infection, players get to see their families again rather than stay in isolation to play dead rubbers.
For me the main question is... 'is there a period before you actually test positive when you are contagious and can spread it?' Or will the twice weekly tests be enough...

........AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan has confirmed........implications of a positive test result would depend on the circumstance and context.........scale and the implications of a positive test will be a question for medical staff.........

I read it as, "The decisions we make will be based on keeping the games going until completion of the competition".

WHAT HAPPENS IF A PLAYER TESTS POSITIVE?
AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan has confirmed that the implications of a positive test result would depend on the circumstance and context of that particular player or staff member. The regular testing means diagnosing when and how a certain player has tested positive will be clearer, as well as who they have been in contact with since returning a positive test result. The scale and the implications of a positive test will be a question for medical staff. Should a player breach medical and social distancing protocols, there will be a framework of sanctions – that have been agreed upon in conjunction with the AFL Players' Association – that will punish players. That framework will be released in the coming days.

WHAT ARE THE PLAYER PROTOCOLS?
Having initially been tested in the week prior to training returning, all players from across the competition must undergo COVID-19 testing at least 24 hours before every session. That ensures players will undergo a minimum of two tests per week, while guaranteeing that the results of each test will be known before they complete a session with teammates. In addition, players will also have their temperature taken upon arriving at club facilities each day. Beyond that, players will be subjected to tighter social distancing restrictions in everyday life, while the living situations of players, their family members and their housemates will also be monitored.

Jordan De Goey is set to face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court after allegedly being caught driving while suspended and using his phone while driving.

De Goey is due to face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

De Goey was scheduled to face the Magistrates’ Court tomorrow where he would be charged on summons, but the coronavirus has seen non-pressing cases adjourned until further notice.

After Eddie's call for transparency over Jack Stevens, I'm sure we can expect full details of this event with De Goey, explaining the where, when, why etc in a press conference any moment now.

Expect the blame to be shifted to his (DeGoey) dog whilst De Goey gets off scot free.

He can't use the dog twice as an excuse. This time it's his youth (“Everyone’s young once and everyone (stu***) up sometimes,” he said.).
I'm not sure 'everyone' stu*** up when they are young, but some do and he should just get a slap on the wrist and go out there on the oval and kick goals for the Pies!!! ;)
