Thoughts on Ben long?
Great option and will be replacing T Lynch in my side in the coming days. A solid downgrade for speculative midpricers that either failed or performed below expectations in RD1 or an upgrade on rookies with limited cash generation prospects and questionable job security. Should be able to make some quick cash, assuming he doesn't deliver a score similar to Roberton, thus allowing you to assess the top premiums on the respective lines.

RD1:
SC= 118
TOG%= 68%
Disposals= 14
Contested Possessions= 11
Effective Disposals= 11
Marks= 3
Contested Marks= 2
Turnovers=5
Intercepts= 11

Would you take him over Bewley?

cunnington cripps both on the short list, beast around the stoppages and with shorter quarters TOG could improve. i have been attempting to find stats from past seasons in regards to TOG. any clues on where to look.
I typically use AFL Tables, which has TOG by game all on one page, but not season averages. I believe Footywire has season averages (maybe on the second part of the Career page?) but I can’t find it on my mobile.

Coming back after two and a half months and I don't even know where to start reorganising my team...in fact I don't even know if I should start at all lol :LOL::ROFLMAO:

Haven't been keeping up with any team news in recent months so I'm sorry if the players below have already been discussed!
Ah well here goes nothing....

Problem players:

McAsey - huge problem. Was 13k short of affording Noble. Any new/other defense rookies we should be looking at trading in? Otherwise will need to downgrade one of the others to get Noble in. I don't want to trade Lloyd out!!!

Houston - what are people doing with this guy? gut feeling is to keep him for now

T.Green - no idea whether to keep him or not, is his JS still good? Who would you trade him out for?

D.Robertson - from memory I think this guy only played in round 1 because someone else got injured? What to do with this guy? Brisbane's team looks stacked.

B.Cavarra - gonna trade him to Georgiades or Sturt. Kinda angry cuz I had Georgiades in my team all the way until the start of round 1 but got rid of him cuz I had second thoughts!

Other players:

T.Brown - had a decent game in round 1 for Collingwood. @Darkie hey mate, how are ya?! thoughts on Brown? Will he still be playing?

McInerney - unfortunately I left him on my bench in round 1!!! Hopefully he's still in the selection mix for Sydney

C.Taylor, M.King, C.Budarick, B.Davis - planning to keep all of these for now unless there are better options elsewhere? is there? lol

BZT, Stracevich - keeping albeit reluctantly!

W.Gould - donut on the bench. Keep or trade? Thinking (more like hoping/praying!) he's good enough to get a game at some point...then again it's Mr.Longmire we're talking about here!

I mean I could've cheated and posted this in the questions thread created by the great Mr. @Rowsus to get all the answers but where would be the fun in that right?!.....Hey Row! :p
G’day @Rumbler, welcome back.

I don’t have a strong view on T Brown unfortunately, but I do have him and he hasn’t been the focus of my trade plans (which are just ramping up as well).

I’ve seen a Fox Sports article suggesting he will keep his spot, but also @Herbie66 suggesting it could be at risk. I’d back Herbie, so it could be touch and go. At least we should know early in the round.

One other thing to flag is that we could have a lot of good rookies on the bubble in round 3, but only two trades to get them. You may want to consider going early on anyone who plays their first game if you have confidence in them.

Bont to Viney tempting
Roberton to a rookie (potn ruck or def) - Brander onto the field
Allows an upgrade from BZW to Hurn
Green could go for Geo/Sturt - partly funding option partly cash generation
Cavarra to go if going both Geo/Sturt

hopefully Rankine and Sturt play allowing me to ignore Geo and just do the 4 trades this week.

Not sure I am a fan of Howe. Had some really poor scores last year, 5 of 17 under 80 excl injury. Hurn 1 score under 80 and think he was managed post his second game back from injury. Shorter season helps his age profile I expect. Taking the kick ins helpful. I am not a buyer of the intercept theory for Howe, wasn't evident in Sicily/McGovern etc. Think it is a reflection of weak Bulldogs forward line.

@Dimmawit - FYI for feedback on Hurn

hahaha

I have no idea on team selections to be honest , just trying to figure out where Treloar , Stephenson & Varcoe will all fit in.

Although I think Brown was Emergency 9-11 times last season so he must be in that top 26 player range.

Does anyone know if the inclusion of Doedee into the ADE DEF, will change Laird's role/scoring ability?
Cannot answer directly, Doedee is a taller defender at 188cm vs Laird 178cm. Heat map for Laird in game 1 showed 1/3 of possessions (5x I50 vs 2xR50) in front half, 14 off 19 possies between the D/F 50m arcs.

What hurt his scoring is 6 turnovers.

There is not enough data yet to support this, however, maybe shorter games are leading to faster pace games increasing turnovers. For someone players like Howe playing a weak fwd team it was helpful. Jake Lloyd on the other hand had similar possessions (17), more uncontested and less turnovers, which also hurt him and he usually accumulates the ball more.
