Trying to create a POD, I see.
Would like to give Yeo and Parker both a go as captain this season and this round seems like the prime opportunity for Yeo, due to playing the Crows who have conceded a lot of 120+ to midfielders this season as well as his inclusion in my normal SC side. Hopefully doesn’t result in a large differential.

Did we officially decide on bringing in that injured Captain rule? ?
I didn't formally put it to the vote. However, there were no objections at the time. So unless I get some now, the rule will have officially been introduced.

Like to indicate a yes vote.

NB. An objection from your opponent will be ignored. ;)

Sounds good to me. It's not like Geelong didn't bring someone off the bench, and it's just frustrating when it's you.

Edit: looks like I am that opponent!

No objection here. I am fine either way, can see both side arguments, and was fairly on the fence in terms of preference.

As Ken’s opponent when it happened to Whitfield. ... I was for the 50% rule then, so no objection now. I am sure that the the law of averages will see us all benefit from it at some stage.

Off to put my C on Nic Nat now that we have RACV breakdown assist!

Goodie's Giants FC vs. Jabukanji Stingers

The Giants go into this Round 5 encounter against the Stingers still in search of the clubs first ever victory. Midfielder Jack Graham returns to bolster the sides engine room, with Wingard moving forward in place of Billy Frampton who has been omitted due to matchups (against the big Eagles defenders this week). In exciting news that will please Giants fans, young smooth moving defender Will Day will make his debut, in place of Riley Bonner. The light-framed youngster is an aerobic beast and exceptional user of the footy, we look forward to Will having a long career with The Giants, with this game the first of many.

TEAM CHANGES:
IN:
Jack Graham, Will Day (Debut)
OUT: Billy Frampton (Omitted), Riley Bonner (Omitted)

In the mix: Roppongian Rangers

The Roppongian Rangers suffered a devastating loss at the hands of the Jets over the weekend and their 2020 prospects were further dented with injuries to five key players. Hannebery (hamstring), Nankervis (ankle), Rowell (shoulder), Scrimshaw (foot), and Hogan (calf) all suffered injuries over the weekend, with the first three names expected to be out for an extended period. Josh Daicos has continued to press his case all year in the reserves and it would be hard to see him not getting his chance to play his first game for the Rangers. Merrett should also come straight back in after suspension. Meanwhile, Allen had an impressive game in the reserves and should get a chance to return after being dropped earlier. In defence, fans are starting speculate at the reasons for Blakely's continued non-selection despite pressing his case in scratch matches, with Coach Sho refusing to comment earlier. A lackluster defensive performance would usually see the coach swing changes however, with limited defensive stocks, the Rangers are likely to recall Fritsch who put forward a solid performance after being dropped last round. However, the Rangers are sweating on the availability of reserve ruckman Sinclair who suffered a knee injury a fortnight ago. The rucks have been a rollercoaster for the Rangers in 2020 however, be prepared for the Rangers to potentially be one short again for the second time in 2020.

VERDICT: Hannebery, Nankervis, Rowell, Scrimshaw and Hogan out for Daicos, Merrett, Allen, Sinclair (if fit) and Fritsch. But don't be surprised to also see Stack replace Williamson or Redman who both had quiet rounds.
Coach Sho foolishly thought that there would be competition for defensive spots at the Rangers, but with Rivers and Redman omitted and Stack and Blakely not getting selected, a secondary donut is in order (with Sinclair/Nank injuries causing the first).

Ruckman Sean Darcy’s season at the Timelords ...

Round 1: Half a game then injured. Scored 47pts.
Round 2: Out injured
Round 3: Out injured
Round 4: A full game o_O but was on -5 at half time and came back to score 68 ... so really only played half a game!!
Round 5: injured halfway through 2nd quarter when on 62 points. Will end up <50.

Imagine if he ever pulls a full game together

Apologies Billy (and Lachie Schulz), I made a horrendous decision in fielding Jay Lockhart over both you blokes.

Finally got myself caught up with the Stingers round reviews in the Tapatalk thread. Feels good. It's a great way to look back at the end of the season, and seasons later,

Goodie's Giants FC has a pretty cool way of doing it as well.
