That's probably a little too dependent on him getting enough kick outs for mine at this stage - also not sure how many contested marks he will be taking (was this meant to be intercept marks)?

Definitely on the list with the uncertainty around a lot of rookies and the change to team selection, but the price is a bit off-putting mostly because Ryan is there and he's pretty much the top dog in the Dockers backline.
Yes intercept marks I meant. He looks like a likely type and the fixture is very good.
I'm looking to slot in 3 Freo players.

Peoples thoughts on Harmes? He’s said he’s going back to the midfield, where he averaged 95 in 2019 and scored well in the second part of 2018.

Can he go back to the same level with Petracca now a pure mid and a fitter Viney than there was in 2019? Seems harder and like he’s going to be 4th or 5th in line (with Brayshaw) for CBA’s instead of 3rd like he was in 2019. Is there also still a risk he’s dropped ?

Only one whole season of 95, is it a stretch to think he goes back there ? Or could he be viewed as similar to Brodie Smith 2019? (Still don’t know if he was a good pick that year) who has keeper potential but should at least make cash averaging mid 80’s.
Your name always throws me. How did you get your name?

Just read this about Doc, I have him at D3 currently :-

As for Docherty, who had ankle surgery over the off-season, Russell said the 27-year-old had surpassed all expectations with his workload this summer.
Having also juggled health issues in recent months, Docherty is ready to go with the home-and-away season now 23 days away.
“Docherty’s ankle has tracked really, really well: we’ve been really pleased and it has settled quicker than we thought it was going to at the start,” he said.
“In the end, he’s going to have a very good preparation and would have done more work that we thought he was going to.”

Looks set to play on Thursday v Essendon in a practice match at Ikon Park.

Borderline disrespectful he isn’t in more teams, can’t imagine it stays this way for long.

I was hungover in a hostel in Budapest a few years ago when SuperCoach opened and an Eric Andre skit I had recently just watched just popped into my head and I made that my name. It had previously been a couple of other things

It also can be taken to mean don’t eat too much Pizza, because Pizza is delicious and addictive

Surprised more people haven’t asked me that question, it is a genuinely absurd name

6.7%. I was shocked that he’s a POD
S Docherty:
Last 60 matches: 106.55 from 60 (22/60 below 100, 20/60 120+)
Excluding the 13 in RD17 2020= 108.14 from 59

2020:
6 matches with 20 or more disposals
5 of those occurred between RD1-RD5

Think he's about right. Now 4 years removed from his last premium season has had a couple of knees, cancer, a calf injury and ankle surgery in that period, copped tags last year and disintegrated under them, when he was last good the team was terrible, they've added Saad who is a gung-ho run like a chicken with it's head cut off and bomb long type as opposed to his old partner in crime in Simpson who was a safe and dinky look to retain it type. Newman and Williamson also fitting in somehow and a decent chance Weitering continues to expand into the primary intercept player.

I love Doch but that's a pretty long list of obvious negatives on him to counteract just how good he was in 2016 and 2017, he's priced at the keeper or bust level, there's no in-between and it only takes a couple of those factors popping up to make that difficult.

That hasn't stopped him being in a good 50% of my drafts though :)

H. Young is a super awkward price. Not quite in the keeper or bust but really not far off it. Priced at 52 you're basically looking at a sustained 90+ average or a hot burst of 100+ to really spike him hard. He's only had one score over 70 in his career so either of those targets is a pretty difficult one to push. Kick-ins would certainly help and I absolutely rate him as a player, he looks a star, but there's an incredible amount of no-mans land on the pick. Really looking forward to seeing his preseason to see just how good his role is, Dockers have a lot of rebounding defenders and I worry whether he can consistently score well enough because of that.

I want to pick him though, that's for sure. I have a lot of time for his brother as well and it wouldn't surprise me if he's in the North team come round one.

Anyone looking at Hayden Young@ $279,400 in defence ?
Freo has an easy early fixture and Young looks to be sharing kick outs with Luke Ryan .
He is borderline for me. If there isn't 4 defence rookies he will come in.
agree, likely pick if struggling with rookies. Are we certain he will take kick in? Appreciate he did in the scratch match for team B, probably means he may take a few if Ryan is out of position. Feels like he may have some decent scores and hope for a 100 to push him to $400k.

The picks are binary, either turns out to be like a Doodee or its a disaster pick scoring 50-60.

That's a ripper, I understand now.
It doesn't change the fact that every year 367 Americans suffer burns from hot pizza.

Just realised Caleb Daniel put up 154 points in the final. Highest of 134 in season(2020) and his highest before that was 130 back in his 2nd year (2016).
Big Caleb Daniel fan. Has had 2 years now of scoring in that 100 range. Low floor and low ceiling but maybe that will change. Main thing that worries me about him is he started to get a bit more defensive attention later in the year. Think I'll be rolling with either him or Mills at D2 behind Laird. Leaning towards Mills for the potential upside if he makes the midfield move.

You summed it up well why I am not considering Docherty, and another reason is that there are a lot of good, safer Defs to choose from.

Caleb Daniel is in my team currently, but am I worrying too much that he will lose points when CD have to squeeze in 3,300 pts per game? I mean, there are so many high scoring WBDs players that some of those players may lose points that they earned.
(Actually, that's one of the reasons I am reluctant to have many WBDs players).

I'm sure he'll take some, not convinced it's a huge selling point though with Ryan and Wilson also competing for kick in duties. That and even with the new rules young players are always something a liability from kick ins, no one's going to be giving a 2nd year player a Lloyd like percentage of kick ins.

How serious are people taking Jack Martin’s comments on Zac Williams ? I personally have a hard time seeing Martin play 50% midfield so not sure how to take them
I probably took it more as a sign I didn't want him in my team. When I read that, I was leaning towards Duggan/Witherden instead but done a restructure. Now have Docherty at D4. Having Whitfield out has made that D3/4 spots iffy for me.
