Thanks Herbie, you've become a fortune teller, please read my palm and tell me my bank balance in October. 😆
That depends on how patient you are and whether you can stay away from the "T" button.

Play your cards the right way and you are heading for Top 10 and some $$$.

And surely one of your crazy multi AFL bets comes off during the season.

Ahhhhh I'm struggling to find/settle on a replacement for Rowell. If there's one player you would bring in (Def, Mid or Fwd) worth up to 535k this round, who would it be? Focus is on long term/season keepers but happy to hear about other options too.
Long term/season keepers under 535k?

Zorko would be the best chance of achieving that for mine, but it’s hard to pick him up fresh off a 64!! :censored:

Now your referring to Tarot cards aren't you, your too kind, top 10 in my league sounds about right, think you'll get the honours of a top 50 finish.

1st or nothing for me 😀

The next 4 rounds are the keys for my team , so will see how I am tracking after Round 6.

Need all my 13 premiums to actually score like premiums every round.

One thing though the teams up the top are already pumping out 2300-2400 already , insane scoring at this stage.

I’m considering Cripps and Clark for Jordon and Ridley. Moves me closer to a GnR set-up, banks some cash, but forces more midfield rookies.

I know it’s “too early” to trade Clark, but feels like a genuine upgrade whilst getting Jordon’s cash gen.
I've gone Gaff > Jordon and Jones > Warner, leaving me with 9 onfield rookies plus Clark.

I've looked at Clark's projected cash gen and it's not pretty, both Jordon and Warner are much better prospects for cash gen and for similar if not better production.

The cash from the Gaff downgrade will be used next week to upgrade Clark, most likely to Ridley.

Zorko did literally nothing in that second half when the intensity of the game really lifted, think his best footy is probably behind him, couldn't hit a target to save his life either.

This may just be my trade Gaff/Neale/Duggan subconscious speaking however I don’t think jumping on the “must have“ rookies is quite the imperative in this round 3 as it has been in other years. My sense is there will more regular good “rookie on the bubble“ option this year than there has been in others. There are already a couple decent prospects that debuted in round 2.

None of those debuting in Rd 2 look like must haves to me. Evans the highest scoring at 54 - decent, yes, but I would expect he has fairly low JS (could be wrong). Jones 68 and Frederick 57 do look like they could be good picks, but neither were debutantes

I wouldn't worry about sitting on cash if you're making good decisions. And I would grab a good rookie if they are there.

Thinking:
Cripps > Ridley
Dow > Jordon

Wouldn't have minded keeping Dow, but H Jones would leave me short of Ridley / Mills.

If the rookie output stays OK in the MIDs, getting an extra rookie on-field there and getting Butts off-field down back seems to make sense and increase the expected value, it's been costing me points, and allows me to get Jordon 🤷‍♂️

I was very keen on Walker for the 5 week cash grab but think long term Warner makes me more $$$.

Just could be a massive loss of points over that period Walker v Warner.

Definitely a lot of Walker doubters on here , as great as the site is it can be very easily swayed by Group think.

Sometimes you just to ignore the posts and back your own judgement , if it works excellent , if not put your hand up and claim it.

If Walker does get to $ 450k he is not far away from Dangerfield or Marshall , Neale possibly , premium defender or Ruck.

Or just a downgrade.

Problem is if the 4 Swans rookies all score poorly against Richmond their cash growth slows quickly.

We might have all the onfield "boom" recruits needing to be upgraded all at the same time , and not being able to do it.

Think if coaches can get Highmore to D7 , Berry & Powell to M9 & M10 , Rowe (if keeps his place) to F7 their is 4 that should make the $ 150k mark to downgrade.

Brockman is a prime example on.how a rookies scores can change from game to game.
I think Warner is a must have rookie though Herbie, regardless of how you feel about Walker.

Probably two of the most solid trades you will make all season.

Yep hence why I am getting Warner instead , just waiting for Thursday & Friday teams to decide on who to actually trade out.

Depends on individual coaches needs but still think Walker would be a excellent choice for 5 weeks if people view him as a stepping stone.

The game seemingly has changed so much in 2 rounds , not sure if it is fair to compare 2021 version Walker to previous seasons Walker.

Anyone else feel like they are completely overthinking their trades this week?

I probably should just grab Jordon and sit it out another week ...
Yep. I have tried out lots of options. My obvious trades tend to be my better trades. Keeping Cripps! He has copped so much criticism this week that he should be very motivated. Berry and Brockman for Fullarton and Scott. Simple!
