AFL’s new concussion rules could be challenged by Collingwood in Round 9 after two players have been excluded from the concussion, even though they have passed the concussion test.

Magpie coach Nathan Buckley revealed after the match that both Jordan Roughead and Nathan Murphy passed the test despite withdrawing from the club’s Medico victory in North Melbourne on Saturday. ..

Under league rules, this pair will not be available for a clash with Sydney next weekend. However, Pai may evaluate whether AFL’s Chief Medical Officer is granted an exemption.

“Both boys out of the game actually passed the concussion test,” Buckley said at a post-game press conference.

“Before I entered, I was just chatting with Wrighty (Graham Wright). What does that mean if they pass the concussion test? We collect that information throughout the week.”

When asked how Murphy was crushed because of a concussion, Buckley said:

“That’s what I’m trying to find. Mostly it comes down to our documentation, the vision is contained in it.

“I understand the decision at the moment. He needs to make a decision based on all the evidence available. There is only one test and I don’t know what that means in the future.

“If I said it, I would be talking outside of school.”

Four-time Premiership player Jordan Lewis was confused about how the decision was made, but believed that club doctors would have considered not only a pure concussion test, but other factors as well. ..

Murphy missed a week of action earlier this season with a VFL head knock.

“From what I read, I think the doctor thought it was his decision to take him off because of a concussion,” Lewis said. Fox Footy Saturday Stretch..

“I appreciated all the evidence he saw, the clashes, and perhaps Murphy’s player. He made the decision, thought he had a concussion, and took him away.”

“They have time to make a decision. That’s one thing you decide to take him away, but he passes the concussion test. Even Nathan Buckley was confused.”

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.
The best test to know who has gone to a gym regularly and who hasn't is those who see DOMS and don't give it a second thought and those who ask *** is it
So it's something like a 2nd day hangover. Young people have this to look forward to.
Go out, have a big night. Get up the next day. "Hey, I'm only a little fuzzy, I thought I'd be much worse."
The day after that. Wake up feeling like absolute crap, and feeling like someone has pummeled your body and head with a baseball bat.
The first few times it happens you ask yourself "why do I feel like absolute dog vomit?!".
After that, you learn, and come to expect it!!!

SCANS have revealed Greater Western Sydney key back Lachie Keeffe re-ruptured his right ACL in the final minute of the Giants' nail-biting win over Essendon.

He is likely to have surgery later this week, which will rule him out for the rest of the season.

Keeffe previously injured the ligament in 2012 when playing for Collingwood.

Following Adelaide's loss to Port Adelaide, Crows Head of High Performance Matt Hass provided the following update:
Ned McHenry
“Ned came off the ground after suffering a heavy knock to the head. He was diagnosed with concussion and immediately ruled out of the game. He’ll be closely monitored over coming days as per concussion protocols.”
Lachlan Murphy
“Lachie has a suspected syndesmosis injury and he will have scans to determine the full extent of the damage. It is too early to give a timeframe on how long he will be sidelined.”
Riley Thilthorpe
“Riley hyperextended his knee in the third quarter and left the field briefly, however he was able to return to the field and continue playing.”
