Bullets flying all over the place the last few days.

- Bolton now out 2-3 weeks (is that all a broken wrist puts you out for??);
- Howe out long term;
- Nathan Murphy out this week (many possibly lining up to eat a donut if Mansell and Highmore the bench cover).

Surely Aaron Hall is the next tragedy up the SC Gods' sleeves...

Just reading up on the commentary on your season so far @Herbie66. I too started Flynn, Meek, Hunter and Fullarton.

Made a resolution though that I wouldn't spin trades on rucks if it went pear shaped: it was Gawn and Grundy in or nothing.

When Hunter got dropped I 'corrected' him for Chapman. When Meek got dropped I raged out Daniel and Meek and brought in Gawn. When Dunkley went down I brought in Grundy.

Net result was that I paid no less than those starting Gawn + Grundy to bring them in and used trades to do it. So it hurt in an overall sense but I'm here now and the team looks ok.

But in another year I'd be game to go again - gotta try new things and have fun!
Just tried to see if the trade loophole went back for Round 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 but doesn't look like it πŸ˜€

Certainly have made a lot of wrong choices/decisions this season.

Actually interesting how much 2-4 different choices can affect your whole season.

I just need to get back this "fun" part back ASAP.

Just need to work out a few short term options.

How is your ranking going now ?

Funnily enough I mentioned Moore a few days ago as a value D6 (alongside Houston & Howe) worth monitoring their prices , but lo and behold Moore put himself in the spotlight this week for many.

Unfortunately I must resist , could be the last week in awhile to bring in some cheapies for $$$ so my next 3 trades will be squarely focused on that.

Get as much money as I can then look at possible upgrade options.

To be totally honest I have not even considered my bye structure (had 5 of my bench not playing and only one is worth trading out in any case)

Just have to clear my head for a few days and come up with the best course of action.
All good Herbie, trade now, seek forgiveness later. 😁

Easier to wait until Thursday night's teams I think.

Still waiting for Flynn's next game for the extra $ 40k + , but after Round 9 might not be anything viable to downgrade him too , on current prices to go Flynn - > Marshall will cost $ 260,700.00.

Could go Flynn - > Poulter but then will need to field 2 of McCreery , Poulter & Rowe each round until they can be upgraded.

Mansell @ D6 is shaky in more ways than one so could be missing Round 9.

Highmore & Jones as bench back ups , at least Jones is back running.

Powell & Jordon still going well with $$$ to make , but still will need $ 150-175k each to be upgraded to premiums.

Bench is Berry (still playing , $ 209k is he worth trading ?) , McNeil kickstarting his $$$ , Fyfe my donut.

Issue then is when do the next lot of debutants appear and will they be worth waiting for ?

Too early for BBL research , so will have to work something out.

Maybe Berry - > Poulter and just sit or try and upgrade Warner (reasonable draw coming up to his bye so could kickstart his scoring again)
I am doing Gulden>Poulter but I don't think its too early to cut Warner if need be either. I personally am happy to keep Berry sitting on my bench for a few more weeks and hope for a spike (those of us with low trades can't be selling rookies off for a meagre 100K) or until Crouch is back and see if he keeps a spot.

With all Richmond's injury woes RCD seems a decent prospect from what I am reading.

I too am waiting on Flynn for that extra 50-75k I believe he can make, could be handy bye cover if Mummy pisses off, ha.
If I have to downgrade him to a non playing R/F swing I don't mind.

Moore is a better option now with Howe out for an extended time. Roughead out this week might impact but I was having trouble finding a cheap upgrade for Chapman whilst getting Kozi off the field.

So Warner > Poulter & Chapman > Moore ( D6 ) increases my bank to 100k (from 3/5 of FA). Gets rid of a dead rookie and should increase my on field scoring by 40 odd pts or so.

Its only Monday and already I'm staring at a donut for the third week in a row unless I do a rookie correction of Murphy/Jones/Highmore.
If Luke Ryan misses again, I think I'm almost done for the year.
I have had more donuts than a certain Mr H Simpson.

At first you hate them, then you get use to them. Enough time passes and you come to rely on ...
Oh wait! That's Morgan Freeman talking about Shawshank Prison...

I'm holding at 2,157 for now, been treading water there for a weeks but at least it hasn't dropped further.

Holding guys like Jelly and Titchell and having them come good has helped. As did getting Tex in and then out 3 weeks later for Walsh when he had maxed out.

But other than that, pretty stock moves really. Plenty of trades correcting the rucks clearly.

My SC Guardian Angel πŸ˜€ has "suggested" I do :-

Stringer - > Poulter
Berry - > Collier-Dawkins

so happy to go that way

Warner needs another big score to get his $$$ going again otherwise he will be going backwards.

Murphy out for 2 months so helps Berry , haven't heard much on Crouch lately.

Not sure if Pedlar is still injured.

IF Collier-Dawkins is up to AFL standard he has to stay in their side with all their injuries , he now is almost Top 2-3 mid option.

Everyone waiting for Flynn's next game , no doubt Mumford will have a rest and they will try Briggs for a game.

Is Flynn - > Sweet a option (questionable JS) , sounds like Hayes might get a go with Lycett out

Not sure whether to go up with Flynn to Marshall or down to ??? ,if we get a rookie debuting this round and looks ok.

Do you know much about Wilson ?
Ok size maybe a bit short for KPD at 194cm , moves well and he bulked up a bit over the pre-season which was one of the areas he was lacking in. Decent kick, but there's the obvious question around his game sense given he's a Cat B recruit from a basketball background (although we was an elite junior at U16 level).

Wilson seems to have been progressing well at VFL level and recently had 30 touches and a goal off half back in a game in what has been a pretty solid and consistent season so far.

HAving said all that I can't see Buckley not leaning towards Magden coming in this week in this "break glass in case of emergency" KPD situation (basically anyone we bring in is undersized, so you might as well bring in the bloke who has some AFL experience under his belt).

I know it's only a tweet but I can't see a broken wrist only been a 2-3 weeker.

This pretty much chucks any and all concerns about RCD's job security for the next month straight into the bin.

Anyone with a line on Richmond rookies for any tidbits on who might be considered for selection in the coming weeks, given that the cupboard is looking *very* bare in the midfield now?

Ralphsmith a chance.

Was speaking to a Tigers supporting work mate who thinks Ralphsmith and even Rioli as an outside chance to come in sooner rather than later.
