I think that the Saints have made a mistake here by trying to rush back their ruckmen on the back of a poor start to the season and Hunter/Mckernan being crap.
It definitely felt that way. Hunter wasn't even that bad they just didn't give him a chance.

Ratten is such an almost coach, like that nice guy you want to do well but just keeps making lots of little mistakes that eventually add up. Had the same problem with Carlton.

New update on Cripp's back from Carlton. Suffered a knock to the back in the preseason and scans showed a "small fracture". This affected him in the first 2-3 rounds. Has trained fully in the last five rounds without pain.

Thanks Blues medical team for reporting that Cripps suffered an injury in the preseason.....not....
To be fair to Teague, nothing he said in response actually varies to that. He had a knock that needed managing, "I don't know on the injections" and he's fine now...

Of course that just makes the fact that he's actually scoring worse without the fractured spine all the more baffling...

At this point the Teague factor is clearly a stronger correlation with Cripps being crap than anything else because no matter what the injury there has been a constant in his form falling off a cliff and I'm not saying it's the coach who can watch him forward and think he's a good forward but...

Yeah who knows though, whether form or still injured. I was more baffled by the lack of transparency given this was apparently a preseason issue...!

Cripps lost heaps of weight for 2020 and it didn't work for him, so he bulked up again this year, which again may not suit the game style of running the game out in 2021. Might be a good M9 come finals to loop.

Got smashed in a few contests... really gutsy to keep going right to the end. Doesn't get enough credit for his courage.

Does this mean that Leon Cameron moves Kelly back to the forward line now? ...
