I quite like Mills.
His World Cup scores estimated:
WI: 74; Bangladesh: 89; Australia: 48(68 if run-out given); SL: 2 (Inj.)
His Vitality Blast and The Hundreds stat.s suggest decent scoring as well:
Vitality Blast: 9 matches; 17 wkts; best 3/20
The Hundreds: 10 matches; 8 wkts; best 3/8

But given his history of back troubles, and other injuries, I don't necessarily expect him to last.

Zampa to Tye

Or

Paris to Dorf/Munro?

Other Scorchers would be Marsh, Agar, Inglis and Mills.
I would remove Munro from the equation unless you do not rate the bowling attacks they are facing this round and if you possess no bowlers from those lineups. Throughout all editions of the BBL, the Scorchers have been the premier bowling lineup with many a titles won on the back of that strength and their ability to defend low totals. Therefore, I am much more confident in selecting two or even three bowlers from the Scorchers in comparison to all other teams, in which I prefer a mixture of one from each position (bat, all, bowl).

Tye and Behrendorff are very difficult to separate and even moreso with Mills already selected. This will come down to when you expect the wickets to fall during their double round and to whom. If you expect Mills to take the bulk of his wickets at the back end and eat into Tye’s production whilst not possessing many or any of the opposing openers. If you like the safety of the surge and death overs and expect Mills to be more potent at the start then go for Tye.

I would also factor in which player you would prefer to keep throughout the remainder of the season, in which case I would expect that to be A Tye. As for Zampa and Paris, thankfully no price movements will occur this round so you can take care of the other next round via dual position players to increase your options of which there should be value aplenty.

Exactly. I’ll take the hit for a week, and build to having 13 class players to pick over the next few weeks - going to be backing class. May lose Phillipe to enable it. Eyes on some fallen guns/cheap pods.

Honestly found over my sc career that weeks I expect to bust often end up as good weeks so 🤞
Philippe won't see many more rounds for me, plenty will hold him through but to me reinvesting a batsman nearing 300k in price feels pretty obvious, one bad score and hes freefalling in value had his fair share of luck along the way already.

Zampa to Tye would be preferable as I have a similar call to make but I dont really see the logic of holding Paris the more I think about it, just pushing one more problem into a further gameweek, trading him now and moving forward is likely what I'm doing the issue is I honestly don't like any of the Scorchers options I can afford in that scenario.

Excellent response, thank you very much. Quite a bit to weigh up here.

I have the choice between trading Matt Kelly and Stoinis out. Do I trade Stoinis and hope Kelly plays or do I keep Stoinis and cop a donut. Either way probably copping a donut. Having 5 stars plus Curran and Kelly really hurt.

Personally not that crazy about Behrendorff, 150K for a guy that doesn't bowl at the death and tends to not bowl his 4th over quite frequently just feels steep to me, always the chance he gets rested with his extensive injury history aswell
BBL10= 16/17 matches- Missed one match (ended up being a no result) to return home for the birth of his second son.
BBL09= DNP
BBL08= 11/14 matches - 3 matches missed were due to international duties with the one day squad on the 12/1/19 and 15/1/19 against India, causing him to miss the BBL matches on the 9/1/19, 13/1/19 and 18/1/19.
BBL07= DNP
BBL06= DNP

Was not rested in the prior two BBL tournaments that he has been available for and prospective owners would be extremely unlucky if he were to be rested this early in the tournament. If he were to miss a match, then I would expect the likeliest game to fall between those on the 2/1/22 to the 6/1/22.

Yeah if all goes to plan I’m looking at having Philippe for two more matches then trading him round 6.

Hales playing the Heat at the Gabba. Anyone else have a feeling this is the round he goes nuts and brings his price up? Too risky to go a round early for mine, but I will probably pick him as one of my round 5 single gamers
I’m getting on now. Record against heat isn’t great, so that’s a risk.

With a fallen gun, people won’t hope on until a good score to even out the break even. Sometimes taking the risk when the break even is high can be rewarded with getting the good score before the masses get on.

Perfect player to punt on if you’re having a bad start IMO.

How successful their bowling will be now they arent playing in Perth is the variable for me, cant help but think Blundstone and Marvel isnt going to suit their bowling attack, will probably spend a bit of time going through how theyve performed previously at those venues.
Marvel:
15 overs for 8-65.
Dot balls percentage in last 3 matches at Marvel: 58.82% (40/68)
J Behrendorff: 2-17 https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...h-scorchers-47th-match-1226834/full-scorecard

Phillipe to Maxwell could net me 70k after this week. With my 20k in the bank, that’s enough to turn a spud like Hughes into Lynn ready for his DGR
