Worth considering I think, and could just become a bench option in due course. Not sure he’s that big a priority this round over a Scorcher though. 66 BE and even without Curran have a strong batting and bowling line up. Phillippe, Vince and Henriques bat before him and Abbott, Dwarshuis, Jordan (at least this round).

If he gets 4 overs consistently once Jordan is gone, he becomes a much better prospect
It would be over getting a Heat player, not a scorcher. Just have this feeling he’s going to have an opportunity in his next match.

Yeah I that makes sense! I’m looking at a Hales type next round as I have feeling he’ll have a big 100 soon to revert his average, DC will need some consideration next round if he gets 4 overs

Looks like Cooper and Bartlett will end up the X factors for tomorrow. Guthrie offers a different match up option whilst Bazley is a genuine allrounder. Yes Bartlett has improved his batting but I suspect they won’t want to put him above Swepson at 8 as it makes their tail very skinny.
When Neser got his first wicket Friday night Swepson and Khawaja both ran drinks out and mobbed him. So they must have flown Swepson out of the Aus setup yesterday or today to play BBL.

Had been looking at picking up a heat player this round with two Scorchers, but with Curran out I’m seriously tempted by DC. He’s got the Strikers this round whom he hit 50 off 16 against last season in the only time he batted against them.

The thing that’s got me interested, is that they’ve looked to promote DC up the order to get him firing, and I think he’s 1-2 boundaries away from putting it all together again. Of course, he could continue his terrible start and lose some more cash, but at 104k I’m more willing to take the punt on it.
SC Gold are showing a BE of 67, could you stomach waiting a round? Unless you’re very confident in this matchup, an in form Scorcher vs a potentially out of form DC sounds pretty straightforward from a points perspective, and DC will likely get cheaper.

I like the thinking though - maybe an R5 in during the reset?

I actually hadn’t realised he’d got so cheap.

I see him as almost a straight swap for Paris. Can’t really get much cheaper than that. Can’t remember the last time DC was this low in price.

That’s true. If you’re constrained to someone at that price point, that makes sense. He’s a significant quality upgrade on Paris, no question.

I was weighing up Zampa to Tye vs Paris to Dorf(/Munro). I’ve got comfortable talking Dorf in part because of matchups (has a great record at Marvel), and in part because he allows me to trade an injured Paris, instead of the world’s #3 T20 bowler with a DGR to come!

Could stomach a 125k Lynn and 150k Mujeeb. Would be keen paying 170k and 200k again though
Agreed. I was pretty confident Mujeeb was overpriced, but I took him anyway as my preferred C and to make it easier to bring in high priced Strikers and Stars post R1. Looks a bit more reasonable at 150k.
