The top up players are from local cricket as per the Fox Footy article.
My mates son was a LRP for Stars last season. He got to sub field for about 8 overs one game, without officially taking part.
He's made a Premier League ton this season, at a decent clip, and considered one of the best fielders in the state.
He might be a chance for a call up again. Name E Newman.

Seven Stars tested positive initially.

A further 11 Stars who were initially negative then took another test with three more positive.

So by my count there will be eight Stars available tomorrow (provided all eight are not injured and no more than 3 of them are internationals).

No x-factor either.

Sunday’s Junction Oval clash is likely to proceed under strict conditions and with no X-factor substitutes, as was the case with the short-handed Sydney Thunder in their New Year’s Eve win over Adelaide after four squad members were ruled out.

If the Stars are relying on ring ins we might be better off looking at their opponents instead. The Scorchers players could really clean up, especially if they end up batting first against a depleted bowling lineup at the Junction Oval. Even the Gades might benefit.
I tried that this round, bringing in a few Strikers who were playing a depleted Thunder squad … this theory works well! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

7+11 = 18

Yet they have 20 on their list (15 local + 5 OS) so is the missing 2 the extra OS or is it Hatcher + someone else 🤔
