Mark my words, if the Scorchers had a complete washout on their double, whilst I- the Strikers King, played my 8 DGW with no Perthsians, then you bet your ass I would have claimed myself a tactical genius. But as is often the way with all great villainous plans, I was foiled, and what eventuated was a Scorchers lineup picking on an acutely depleted Stars outfit, then going on to play a double this round, and likely being moved to drier pastures for their double anyway.
In contrast, I had a mate Ghost ship it since their double, he is on 651 with 6 Scorchers and Tye as captain. Had Maxwell and didnt even put the E on him. He is also telling me he is a tactical genius.

Without being a computer technician, you essentially need to edit the code to be different than before. However, there is an intricacy to it where if you edit a certain thing to eliminate a certain team’s scoring for just one match, you need to reprogram the whole distribution of how scoring works.
This is completely new coding for the team, which they’d need to test beforehand. If they try to do this and fail (high probability as a lot of coding is trial and error), you risk the whole game day and scoring going down.

Fantasy sports will always be a mixture of skill and luck with or without these interruptions. See how for example the same tactical decision (e.g Maxwell C in a Stars DGW) can have such a varied result week to week. Is picking him as C only in the first skill or luck. Is trading in Wade over McDermott before the Hurricanes DGW with their respective performances over the years skill or luck. Sure you had a reason to take McDermott but someone else had an equally valid reason to take Wade. With these interruptions someone could probably make an argument that they tried to get as many players played in the earlier games because of the potential for interruption. This tactical decision is no different to any of the others. No one could have known exactly how any would play out before it happened but people will have had at least some logical reasons for doing what they did.

The Brisbane Heat have confirmed they have positive rapid antigen tests in their extended squad that will cause a change to the next week of their KFC Big Bash League campaign.
The Heat’s match tonight against the Sydney Sixers at Metricon Stadium will be postponed 24 hours, with the Perth Scorchers to tackle the Sixers instead this evening.
Brisbane will now play tomorrow night against the Sixers in a late match at 8.15pm, with replacement players to be finalized in the next 24 hours.
The entire squad that has been based on the Gold Coast is undergoing PCR testing today as are potential replacement players and squad members in Brisbane.
Once those results have been returned, further decisions will be made to confirm the playing squad.
Players who return a positive PCR test will be required to isolate for a minimum of seven days.
Ticket holders will be contacted directly via Ticketek to discuss options for attendance or refunds.
The Heat are also scheduled to now travel to Melbourne on Thursday on a charter flight to play the Melbourne Renegades at Geelong that evening.
Queensland Cricket CEO Terry Svenson thanked Cricket Australia for their prompt decision-making.
“The health and safety of our players and coaches and support staff, and their families, is of paramount importance.
“By making a decisive call on tonight’s game, we can work as efficiently as possible to support those players who have returned a positive rapid antigen test and assist the replacement players coming into the squad.”
“It also means that fans who are attending the matches or were intending to do, can establish their options as soon as they are able.”
"We are providing all the support we can to players, staff and their families. I'd like to thank the medical and off-field teams at both Queensland Cricket and Cricket Australia for their ongoing guidance and support."
