Ugh. Really annoyed at myself but I've just figured out the obvious thing I should have done from the beginning. The first two rounds should have doubled as qualification AND seeding for the main draw. So the top 64 teams by total score as at round 2 would be seeded in exactly that order and drawn as usual.
I can still do it that way if you'd like - would be much easier actually - but I accept that will change the pool of 64 who qualify and that kind of sucks. Can I get some thoughts on whether to run the play-in round as planned or in this new way?
Regardless, anyone who is eliminated in the play-in would still be eligible for Dominator League status at any future stage in the tournament. Reminder, while I'm at it, that qualification for that begins next round. The highest score from any remaining non-bye round will make up the Dominator League in 2023 - if anyone wins an additional round, the spot for that week goes to the next highest scorer who hasn't already qualified.
