Ugh. Really annoyed at myself but I've just figured out the obvious thing I should have done from the beginning. The first two rounds should have doubled as qualification AND seeding for the main draw. So the top 64 teams by total score as at round 2 would be seeded in exactly that order and drawn as usual.

I can still do it that way if you'd like - would be much easier actually - but I accept that will change the pool of 64 who qualify and that kind of sucks. Can I get some thoughts on whether to run the play-in round as planned or in this new way?

Regardless, anyone who is eliminated in the play-in would still be eligible for Dominator League status at any future stage in the tournament. Reminder, while I'm at it, that qualification for that begins next round. The highest score from any remaining non-bye round will make up the Dominator League in 2023 - if anyone wins an additional round, the spot for that week goes to the next highest scorer who hasn't already qualified.

Just do it the way you were considering.

Right, well it's unfair to change it now, so I'll just go ahead as it was before - but that's definitely one to keep in mind for next time. Solves a lot of early headaches.

The bracket has been updated - view here: https://challonge.com/8bhq87qy

Interestingly despite the completely random nature of the draw it managed to throw up some ridiculously close matches, and particularly, four in a row towards the bottom of the bracket!

Highest score: @Lgndhen23 - 4941
Highest losing score: @stephen - 4783
Lowest winning score: @Couch Coach - 4526
Largest winning margin: @Vicwood (+366)
Smallest losing margin: @The Banker (-6)

SCS 2023 Dominator League

Rd 3. stephen - 2447
Rd 4. @Markl - 2401

This score is 93 points higher than the next best. I don't have the figures to hand for last year but I'd be reasonably confident there wasn't that big a gap out front all of last season!
