Switzerland: Stefan Bellmont and Thomas Junghans

The Swiss are returning after a three year absence. Thomas made the semi finals in a losing effort to Glen Durant in the 2015 BDO World Masters and competes on the PDC European Challenge Tour. They face another unseeded and returning nation in New Zealand in what should be a close first round matchup.

USA: Danny Baggish and Jules Van Dongen

Unfortunately they face one of the tougher unseeded nations in Poland. If they were drawn in a friendlier part of the draw they could have done a lot of damage but still have the ability to cause several nations trouble if they go on a deep run. Danny is the highest ranked player from the USA in the PDC and recently lost to Leonard Gates at the North American Darts Championship and participated along with Jules as local tour card holders at the recent New York Darts Masters in which they played well in losing efforts against the current world champion and premier league champion respectively.

This shapes to be as one of the best ties in the first round.

Great job with all the team profiles Adam.

Can't help but tinker my team. Was really on the fence with Wales and England. I'm going to take England instead, so I have 2 seeds from the top and 2 from the bottom. The rest the same.

Selection process is correct. I would recommend dropping one of Sweden or South Africa since they face each other in the first round unless you are intentionally hedging the result. My recommendation would be to replace one of them with one of Latvia, Singapore or New Zealand.
