Witts and Marshall are my rucks but geez it's tough once more.Even gawn must be in there
Gawn huge pod this year mate, if you're willing to fork out 605 for Witts, why not Gawn instead, or would you prefer to wait until he gets forward status?

I actually had both witts and gawn last week for that very reason dpp. in my eyes Gawn was bog against the sainrs and would have tonned up but marshall is just so much value.

Yeah Marshall's popular, Grundy's probably similar value if he gets a decent chunk of the weekly rucking.

I think I have had all the combinations 🤔 Currently have Darcy and Marshall just because Marshall is cheaper. But my preference is Witts and Darcy. Going to wait until I have seen the games this weekend to decide.

Dont like Clarry playing anywhere but mid for 700k either
He was moved for a little bit down back in their practice game and still racked up a lot of the ball there. Realistically, can you see them taking out the best inside midfielder in the comp out of their midfield? I really doubt it.

I'm probably not going to select him but that's due to financial constraints in getting the structure i like and not being encumbered by potentially crap rookies (even trying to avoid questionable rookies on the bench if possible).

Ah yes, it was around about this time last year that we were told Neale would spend time up forward. How did that turn out?

Highly doubt that arguably the league's best midfielder will be spending any less than 90% of his time on ground in the midfield but hopefully Trac's comment regarding Oliver throws a few off.

The mind games begin.

Am I missing something about picking players who have maxed out in their ultimate position in the hope they get DPP? I mean to get DPP, doesn’t that mean they play in a position that is likely to be not as prolific in scoring as where they are priced coming into round 1? Why would you sacrifice early points and dollars for 6 weeks in the hope for a positional change? Seems very risky to me.

These are people who didn't start with Josh Kelly in 2021! Even with dpp changes now, it's counterintuitive to overspend for people playing less optimum roles.

Isn't many rookies I actually want to own under 150K, I'm happy enough to be slightly weaker on field if it means I'm going to get cash generation right, don't want to be stuck with 5 blokes not getting past 200K, that's the fear I have with the Davey,McAndrew,Baker,Greene,Comben etc benches.

Based on the roles from last weekend, I think guys like McVee, Cincotta, Chesser and Constable are the ones that can make the required cash (might be missing some). Also if you're going to play in the forward line, Melbourne is probably the better team to do it so Chandler might be a decent one as well if he can hold his spot. Outside of them, not really sure of the rest and probably outside of Constable, wouldn't feel comfortable fielding any of them.
